update on Vanessa!!!!

Hello everyone, My name is Maris and I am Vanessa's OH angel. I wanted to give you all an quick update. Today was her surgery and everything went fine. I was there with her at the hospital this morning and she was scared but in good spirts. Her surgery was at 7:15 and she went in around 7:40. The Cleveland Clinic was great about keeping us informed on her progress thoughout the day. Vanessa was in recovery for several hours to monitor her pain. They were having a problem with the morphine pump machine and she was in some pain for a period of time. That was resolved and she was moved to her room this evening. I did go back to see her and she was in good spirits... very tired and in some pain. The Dr. was in to see her and all was fine. In the morning they will do the leak test and she should go home on Friday. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Hugs Maris
