Bad pre-op test

What do I do now? When I arrived home Friday from San Antonio after my pre-op there was a call from the Doctor's office. My clotting time, the PTT test is way off, twice the normal rate. They are trying to get me into a Cancer doctor right away. But almost impossible after 5 PM on a Friday. Have to wait to hear from them tikl Monday AM. My 1/10 surgery is on hold, whatever that means., I cannot stop crying. Where are my angels? Barb

I am sorry about your test results, lets hope for the best that they can figure out how to get you better to get the surgery. Why are they sending you to a Cancer Doctor? Good Luck, Gina

Dear Barbara.....oh dear, don't jump to conclusions. ...we hear that WORD and it is a heartstopper. Have faith you will be ok. I just had skin cancer surgery on my forehead in Oct. and i know how scared I was hearing the word alone. I will keep you in my prayers. God is with you and won't give me more than you can handle...He promises that. Everything will be alright. God bless you Cissy

Sorry to hear about your pre- op test but your health is whats inportant your surgery can waite a little while, smile it will all work out fine. Cathy

Don't let it scare you too much, I had breast cancer, had to go to chemo, radiation...the whole nine yards... but tomorrow I will be having the RNY and my pre-op labs were perfect. I'll be praying that you will be negative for cancer and maybe this is just a "bump" in the road.

Thanks to all that replied. I needed to hear some encouraging words. I will see the Specialist on 1/16 and my internist tomorrow. When the Specialist is done with her tests and diagnosis she has to release me for the surgery. The good thing is that they found out now instead of when I started bleeding from surgery. I will try to abide the wait. More prayers is good. Barb
