Change in date...
Not disappointed, it works out best that way. We have fathers' off work on maternity leave and another employee is leaving for China in a couple of weeks which leaves us shorthanded.
The surgeons office discovered I'd not been to the mandatory support group meetings (which I don't think I need to attend because I've been through this with two people already -- jeez) -- rules. So I have to attend at least one of these before Feb. 20th; plus the change provides me with accumulating more sick leave time from work. A sister gotta get paid while she is off work.
Oh well, we shall move forward and start practicing on just 3 meals a day with no snacks in between.
HI Nadine,
I too had a change in date. I was scheduled for 1/11 and yesterday my doctors office phoned to tell me I had to be rescheduled because the doc was going to be out of town. I'm now scheduled for 1/18. I was both relieved and disappointed. I'm very nervous but had my mind set on next week. Oh well, It will give me longer on my pre-op diet!! It was good for me to read your positive attitude. I am new to this site and really love everything I've seen so far.
Good luck to you.
Loretta
You're welcome Loretta,
Jan 18th was my previous date -- you will do fine -- just keep your mind focused on what you're suppose to do before and truly after the surgery.
What can you do -- getting upset about it doesn't change anything. I too am happy for the extra time. I can work on that 3 meals aday with no snacking in between or I can work on the liquid portion and get in more workout time prior to the surgery (knees are bothering me again). She tried to reschedule to the end of March -- I told her that was too far out -- if I go out further I might change my mind or change surgeons. I'll change a doctor in a minute.
Well back to homework and the Cowboy/Seattle game. Have a great weekend.
