Home After Surgery
Hi All,
Well, I'm officially in the Bandster club! Woo Hoo! I had my surgery yesterday morning, drank my 50 ounces of fluids, and got to come home last night (which was my goal) instead of staying the night. I have had minimal nausea (only after my barium swallow and on the car ride home) andthe only pain I really have is at the port site where the muscles are involved.
Thanks to all of you who left me words of encouragment before my day. It really helped and meant a lot!
Tina =)
Congrats Tina, glad to hear your doing so well. I was raised in the Seattle area so I know the weather up there can get you down, but if you keep your good attitude up you'll do fine. The offset to the rain is how beautiful it is up there. Take care, follow your doctor's instructions, remember not to lift even a grocery bag during your first month, and spoil yourself, you deserve it!
Yeah, the weather here this fall and winter has not been too hot. As a result of no sun and whatever else, my vitamin D was a little bit low in my pre-op testing. I tried to get my Dr. to write a prescription to come to AZ once a month for sunshine therapy but he just laughed and wrote for some Vitamin D pills! How boring!!
