1st timer: surgery 1/9 in mn

hello there...this is my 1st post my surgery is NEXT WEEK and im starting to freak out a little!!!!!!!!! anyone from mn?

Congrats on your date and welcome to the Jan. board. Julie you can check out the list of January folks a couple of posts down to see who is on the same date or in the same area. Also you can post to the MN board. Please let me know if you need help with anything. It is normal to feel a little freaked out at this stage. We will all go through it at one point or another. When I do I think about the wonderful quality life myself and my family will have once I have my surgery. Anna

Hi Julie, I am Brenda and I know how you are feeling because I have my surgery on Jan10th. I am just trying to focus on the results this is going to bring health wise all else is icing on the cake. I am keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless Brenda

I truly understand what you are going through, I also have 1/9. but I am trying to stay calm and keep busy so I want focus on it too much and it also helps for me to come on here and read other post. So I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I'm sure you will do fine.

Hello Julie, This is a natural response of being nervous and freaked out. I'm sure everyone feels this way about any surgery. I have never had a surgery so i'm very nervous because I just don't know what to expect. My surgery is scheduled 1/18 and i'm also a little freaked out. I have to start a 2 week liquid diet on 1/3 and not sure how I will handle that. But I know I have to do it so I can have the best outcome as possible. Anyway good luck and stay positive. I forgot to mention I'm from mn having lapband surgery @hcmc. Teona

Hi, Julie.. I'm up on January 11, and feeling the same way! I keep repeating "nerves are normal, nerves are normal..." What kind of surgery are you having? And how are things in MN? Michigan seems to have moved south -- it was 50 degrees and sunny here today! Kari

Hi Julie. also my 1st post, my surgery is also 1/9 and am going through the same feelings. I am so scared I wont get through this and am having panic attacks and cant sleep at night.. I live in Spain and havent been able to find any support groups so this site has been a godsend over the last few months. I know deep down I will be fine and you will too. Im sending good calming vibes to you. milania x
