January 29th!!!

I'm having a lap RnY Bypass and can hardly wait! I'm very excited. My fear is that I'm in denial about what a drastic change this will make in my lifestyle. I've done the research, met with the dietician, read the boards, etc. It's like I know it in my head but I'm still on the outside looking in. I guess when it happens, I'll face it whether I'm ready or not. Most of you "Januarys" are ahead of me so I hope to keep up with everyone's postings as you blaze the trail before me. Hello Karen, Congtatz on your date. You are at the end of the month I have a co-worker that is having her surgery in the 30th. She and I started this journey together back in July. It has been 6 months but it has moved quite quickly. I am having surgery on January 16. I am so excited. I have no doubt that this is the right choice for me. I Just hope that the nerves don't kick in as my day gets closer. It seems that that is what others are doing as their date gets closser. oh well Im just so excited to start this new phase of my journey. Keep in touch. Warmly, Alice
