Well hello everyone, hope every one had a happy holiday.I went for my pre-ops today and it getting down to the wire, with exactly two weeks to go. so I seem to get a little more nervous everyday, so I am wondering is this normal and when will the nerve thing go away?

I think the nerve thing will continue as long as the heart thing is still beating. Wow you have 2 weeks to go. Mine is on the 17th - 3 weeks - and the closer it gets the more the anxiety builds up. I can't imagine what I will feel like in 2 weeks! Well I pray all goes well for you. Are you getting ready to start your pre-op diet?

I feell the same way, I'm the 26th, and starting to feel a bit nervous. Now is when I wish I had learned Yoga. I know with all that we have been through to be cleared for this surgery all should go well. If you have confidence in your surgeon and fully understand what the changes will be, then we just keep moving forward. I know people in my group here in Arizona that were completely relaxed on the morning of surgey and they said everything went very smooth. The pre-op classes we went through say it is easier if you try to relax prior. I say easier said than done! Hang in there girl, we're almost losers!

Well I did not have to attend any pre-op classes and did not expect the process to go so fast, cosidering all the other peoples challenges that I have read about but I'm trying to keep it together, but when I actually think about it my nerves always get the best of me. Although I fully trust and believe in my surgeon that this will be an uneventful surgery. Thanks for the positive feedback!

I think I have a little bit of nerves, but even more excitement... I'm SO ready for this change, and of course change is always stressful, but I've never been at my goal weight since I was like 5, and I see this as part of my journey to finally be the person I want to be!! also, a few years ago I was looking into skydiving and I'm too heavy to do it... so once I'm all recovered and lose my weight, I think I'm gonna go skydiving as my reward for all my work!!!!! and I think I'll be more nervous about that than this surgery!!! It's probably more dangerous than the surgery anyway haha!!

You are sure right about that being dangerous, so you must like living on the edge.
