Very mild sleep apnea, NO CPAP!
I hate sleep studies! My pulmonary doc had sent the sleep lab an order for me to try out a CPAP if I have 5 occurrances an hour over 2 hours. I was all prepared for the nurse to come in after 2 hours to put one of those things on me. Turns out I didn't, the study went well and even my oxygen level was higher than it was before. So it was a big success. Only one more test to go....can't wait to get cleared. I do not want to be put off again for surgery. Because of how you can easily get delayed with all these tests the various doctor's order, I tell everyone to get them done early so you only have your labs at the end and of course your pre-op consult.
Can't wait to get on with this. My hubby is still doing great, we tried a restaurant out a couple of times now. It's not that bad really, except he tried some fish yesterday and he had a hard time with it going down. Probably wasn't a good choice, he's still in his first month. He told me he wanted to grab one of the potato chips I didn't eat right off my plate! Just being in a normal food environment was huge.

Congradulations! My surgery is set for Jan 18th. I have sleep apnea and have a CPAP, but it is hard for me to use, so I haven't been using it. Now the Dr. has me scheduled for an arterial gas test to see how much oxygen is in my blood. I am afraid since I have not been using the CPAP my oxegyn will be low. Do you know if this could hold up my surgery? Thank!
