YeeeeeeeeeeeHa, I got my approval yesterday and I am seriously cheesing! I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face. My doc's office is scheculing me for the week of Jan 15th but I don't have a final date yet! I have been thinking and reading about RNY for 3 years but I had so much turmoil due to my mothers illness I couln't have the surgery. My mother passed away in July and I started working on getting approved seriously in September. I can't believe it is really going to happen! My Mom wanted me to have the surgery while she was sick and even offered to pay for it. In my heart I couldn't do it, I was her primary care giver and I was afraid that if anything happened it would throw her remaining days into turmoil. I know she is in heaven smiling down and proud that I am doing something for myself. She always wanted the very best for me. This is the very best Thanksgiving season I have ever had! My hubby, kids, family and friends are being so supportive, it really helps. God has blessed me and I have a lot to be thankful for! BEING ON THE JANUARY LOSERS BENCH IS A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE RIGHT KNOW BUT I'LL GET USED TO IT. I NEED TO BE AROUND FOR 4 AND 9 YEAR OLDS. Thanks to all for letting me cheese!

SHOUT all you want to. You should be happy and excited. You are about to change your life for the better. I have a 3 year old I need to be here for, so I totally get where you are coming from.
