Topic: Time to be honest with myself
My last post was about a year ago mentioning i was considering a revision. im still only 4ft 9, but my weight has gone from 190 down to about 170. Its a daily struggle. i really thought that having surgery would be an easy fix.i go to the gym, and walk with my kids. i try to stay active and be aware of everything i put in my mouth. I am not 100% compliant everyday, i snack and drink soda. i also drink 5 hour energys and im sure theyre somehow bad for me...
my bmi is about 35 and i count my blessing everyday that its not stil 51. i see that ive came a long way, but still get down in the dumps that im not at my ideal weight but the truth is im in my mid 30's and have had 3 children, its ok to be a size 14. not everyone is meant to fit into a size 6 cookie cutter image. im healthy and my family is happy thats whats truely important. with that being said i am seeing a revision specialist to see if he thinks theres any options for me. im not even sure my insurance will cover it but its worth my 20dollar co-pay to find out. if it doesnt hapen thats ok too but just think I want to see my options. at the end of the day i like to know i explored all my options.
Anyways im just checking in... hope everyone is well.

Topic: HOLDING YOUR WEIGHT
Hi everyone Haven't posted in a while, but thought that I would check in today to see how everyone is. Can't believe it has bee 4 years since surgery. I am up aout 10 lbs. from my lowest weight. Let me know how all of you are doing, the photos I see all of you are looking GREAT. talk soon, Rosemary from Pennsylvania

Hi everyone... after a long time away, I decided to come back and see who's still here.
I'm trying to get back on track and can use all the support I can get. Hope to see some familiar faces around here.

Hi Kay - you look fabulous! I can feel your positive energy and enthusiasm for life.
My only complication is having moved from health insurance as a group policy to an individual and dealing with it as a pre-existing condition. That has been ugly, even with the company who processed the procedure in the first place.
I wish you and all continued success knowing there will be high and low points.
HUGS

Jaci, I was once a very active member of the site--now I lurk on rare occasion (1-2 x per year), but I always read the Sugiversary posts.
You are the name I always look for--- you are so much more together than I was at your age. I always read what you write and shake my head at how clear you express yourself and how completely feaking smart you are. I didn't even begin to entertain these life questions that you think abput until my 40s! You are not afraid to confront the big, bleak issues that have made us all---the dreaded word: fat. I am always in awe and amazed at how astute you are . It sounds too cheesy to say 'courageous', but there you are---. Honestly, you are just unbelievable----
I hope you are well. You will be in such a different place in your 30s and 40s because of these struggles/thoughts now, Jaci.
Good luck to you----C

I did and I DO! They are 5 now.
I am recovering from a panniculectomy. I never thought the recovery would be so difficult! I have had help with the kids for the first two week and a half and now they are home with me.
Wish me luck!
