I never posted much, and actually haven't been on much at all this year. But I did most of my gaining in year 2. I went from 313 down to around 203 then back up. Last Christmas I was 235 and was very depressed. But today I am happy to say that I am at 191!! I'm short, so I still have more pounds to go!
The most important thing is recognizing any bad habits, the weight gain and stopping it before it's out of control. Last year I did some major reflecting of my lifestyle and realized that I didn't have this surgery just to gain back like I had done on other "diets" and was determined to make my tool work for me!!
Oh....and also, during this year....after 16 years of being divorced, I met a wonderful man and have just recently gotten engaged!!!!
Can't wait to see what 2009 brings for us!!!!

Hi Everyone,
I thought I'd give you a quick update. I can't believe its almost been 3 years since my gastric bypass, that went quick. As I said in previous posts I'm holding my weight between 135-137, down from my original 263. I'm very happy and still pleased with myself. I watch what I eat and stick to the same foods pretty much everyday.
My only recent set back was I had to go back to counseling as my OCD/Depression kicked back in. I believe my body was used to the dose of anti-depressants I was taking and not absorbing them all. Since I've had the meds adjusted I am back to myself.
My wedding is scheduled for October 24, 2009. My colors are light pink & silver. We are getting married at an inter-faith chapel as we don't want a religious wedding and then my wedding reception is 10 minutes from our house. We plan to honeymoon in Mayan Rivera in Mexico. I will post some pics of my Fiance Joe & I shortly.
We just got back from Las Vegas the day before Thanksgiving and it was a great stress reliever.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Love,
Carly

I'm doing my best to not just be a lurker! I think that the count is like Ronna said, everytime you view the thread it counts.
I was thinking of another way that we could be supportive for each other. On the California Board, we do a thing called WWW or Whacky Weigh-in Wednesday. Just a post of the weeks weight loss or gain. No judgement etc. We do it for a year and then at the end of the year we total it all up and see what the end result is for the year.
We could start something like that for the new year. Again, no judgement, pressure or anything. Just a way to keep track and be supportive of each other.
Just a thought. I'd be happy to be the number keeper if we get enough participation on this board.
Kim
Hope everyone has a good one and does at least one fun thing!!
Love and hugs,
Jersey

The view count is decieving - I bet it counts each time you go into the thread. So if you went back to read and then reply to someone you get counted again and againand again. I don't really like this new format at all.
