I know for self experience that life is not at all easy... After my surgery I thought that my biggest problem was about to be resolved and Suprise!!! weight wasn't at all my biggest problem. Life is hard and we are able to take it by its horns. You are doing well, your issues with weight are really hard, but we have shown to ourselves that we are able to control it... it is time to get strength and get the problem in our hands...

Hi, I'm Rose and I'm a 'lurker'. I think part of my reason for 'lurking' is that I always felt like an' outsider' with this group. While I had my surgery in January 2006 like the rest of you, I didn't find the January 2006 forum until several months after my surgery. By that time so many of you had already bonded and were friends either 'cyber' or 'real' and I felt like the 'tag a long'. So I 'lurk'.....
I was called into the President's Office on July 23rd and told I had until July 25th at 4:00 p.m. to vacate my office - that I was 'terminated'. I was fortunate to be able to negotiate a severance package; however, it has been devastating to me. I have suffered with 'big old failure girl' issues for most of my 53 years and being terminated has not helped that issue - neither has job hunting. Rejection letters hurt - especially when you really need the job.
All of that being said, I promise to stop lurking and start posting.
