There you are!  This morning I came to the conclusion that I am just going to "Snap out of it"  I need to be accountable for all I do.  In any case I am not going to go there with another surgery.  Congratulations on your baby girl. She is gorgeous!  Can you believe my little one will be 6 months soon.  It seems like just yersterday I was whinning to you about my pregnancy.    Congratulations again.

The stomaphyx does not prevent subsequent stretching of the Stoma.  If you stretched it once ... well, you know ... it will stretch again.

I am not fussing at you LOL 0 I am sure my stoma is ssstttrreeettccchhheeeddd out.

God Bless! Jen

Topic: Sorry I've been MIA!!!!

I've been away for quite some time now, but I check back sometimes to see how everyone is doing. However, the majority of the time I check the board is quite slow.

I do have an update. I recently had another baby boy on Dec 18, 2008. He weighed 7lbs 11 oz and 20 in. We're both doing good. He already has an appetite out of this world. I don't think I really gained any weight (all baby in the tummy), I won't know for sure til I get back from the doctor tomorrow. I'm still not able to eat a lot but I try to eat as much as I can without over doing it.
When I started my journey I was 342#, it was a slow but hard process for me. My first prenatal appt I weighed 218#. I'm very happy with my loss but the BMI chart says that I'm still OBESE, that kinda discourages me. Maybe once I get back active on the board I'll get a little more motivation to get things moving again.

Sorry to keep rambling but I really hope everyone is doing GREAT!!!

I take Calcium Citrate.  do not take with your iron though--the iron will not absorb.  I take 2 chewable multivits, B-100 complex, B12 sublingual, Vit D-2000 I.U.  Twice a week extra chewable iron, 4 fish oil caps.  Labs are excellent.

swallow type b12's may not work as most of the stomach has been "removed" so to speak and you need the "intrinsic factor" to absorb the vitamin which comes from the stomach itself.  Sublingual, nasal, patch or injection are the best for absorption.
