Topic: RE: PLATEAU BUSTERS DIET

When I did the plateau buster, my surgeon ok'ed it but he didn't recommend that I do it more than 10 days. I agree becausee it's just like any low carb diet. We don't eat carbs for a certain amount of time and you loose a lot of weight but as soon as you incorporate carbs back your diet, you gain some of the weight back.
Just come up with a good eating plan that balances out the carbs and protein. If you go on a crash diet and cut back the calories drastically, you will loose but as soon as you start eating a "normal" amount of calories, you will gain it back.

My daily calorie intake is between 1200 and 1300 calories, no more than 100 carbs and at least 100 grams of protein. Most of my 100 carbs a day are from fruit and vegetables. I allow myself 1 carb a day when it comes to bread, grits, cereal, pasta or potatoes.

I joined WW to get  back on track and it helped me. My lowest was 184 and I gained to 207. I'm not 179.  Consider going to weigh****chers. It's an awesome program. The support is great and knowing that you have to go weigh in once a week, helps you stay on track!

Good luck!!!!

Ok so I am going to start this again but am wondering if there is anyone that has done it for more than  10 days? I am to the point that I want to be down to my lowest and want to do what ever it takes. Does anyone else have these feelings?  I need help, LOTS of it!

Hey There!

I have been where you are!  I have gone through some horrible lows since surgery.  But you can get back on track!  I totally believe that, if I can do it, ANYONE can!

Have you tried doing the Back to Basics method of eating?  That ALWAYS helps me get back on track.

And, sadly, the one thing that ALWAYS helped me was coming back to this board.  But it is so light these days.  This is the first time I have visited in months. :(

I truly wish you the best of luck!

Love and hugs,
Jersey

Hi everyone I havent been on the boards since my second son was born back in Aug of 2007 and its been a hard 2 years of ups and downs-also my whole profile is gone on OH UGH!!!-At my surgery date back in Jan 2006 I was at 276 and I got down to 142 and then found out I was pregnant and now 2 years after havinf my baby I am still at 162-I cant find a support group locally that I like and the few people I knew that had the surgery b4 me I no longer see or have kept in touch with-I tried Weigh****chers last year and was able to lose some weight but have gained it back since then-I have uncontrollable cravings and can eat alot at one sitting-I was anemic last year and havent had much energy at all lately-I hate this because even though I had surgery and lost alot of weight I feel lousy and cant get back on track even though I have tried and tried-if anyone has a few moments to send me some suggestions that have worked for you I would GREATLY appreciate it-Thanks for reading and I am glad to see some of the faces still on here that I used to back when I was on ALOT more often : )
