Good morning!

Hooo-kay...I updated my post again yesterday.  Once again last night was a struggle for me.  However, the scale has been in my favor so I guess I am still doing ok. :)  I KNOW I should not weigh myself every day but, you know, I just can't help it.  If I see progress, it motivates me another day.

So...here is the deal today (hopefully!!)...

B:  3 oz. chicken
S:  New Whey GagFest
L:  3 oz chicken (boring...yes.  But it fills me up and has great protein).
S:  New Whey GagFest again and, if I am not sick by the New Whey...I brought a hard boiled egg.
D:  The tilapia I did not make last night. :)

Have a successful day, everyone!!!

It is hard to do this before.  Maybe we should start  posting this in the evening. Heck, I haven't evenhad lunch yet?

Anyway:

B:  Cottage cheese (low fat) 1/2 C no sugar added fruit coctail

S: 4 dried prunes (still having some problems here)

L:  will be an Isopute shake with hoods chocolate milk

And I have chicken defrosting in the fidge that I will probablly make for dinner and a banana for an evening snack.

Jersey if you don't like the New Whey, try something else.  I still really like the Isopure.  It's like a treat --- a really rich and thick chocolate shake.
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

Hey Ronna!

I post what I am going to eat in the morning so I make sure I stick to it (sometimes I do...sometimes I don't).  ;)  But there is nothing that says you can't respond in the evening...when you are all done.  I know that probably makes more sense...

About the protein...there is something very strange about me.  I am HYPER-sensitive to tastes and certain smells.  For example, if someone is smoking down the street from me, chances are I will smell it.  And the thing is...I can taste protein in everything.  And it is nauseating to me.  I have tried OVER FIFTY different brands/flavors of protein shakes (including Isopure) and I cannot handle the taste of any of them (it is the, to me, overwhelming taste of protein I can't handle).  It is really unfortunate that the New Whey is giving me nausea but I can't switch to anything else.  There is no way on earth I could drink an entire shake of protein.  With the New Whey...it is absolutely revolting to me but it is only 3 sips of revolting rather than a whole thick, creamy (or not) shake of revolting!!!

So with protein, I am screwed.  Ah well!

You poor thing.  I had no idea you had such a rough time with the protien.

Sounds like chicken, chicken and more chicken for you.  Do you like tuna?  A can of tuna has tons of protein in it.

I actually prefer chicken to tuna.  When I am protein-busting, 90% of my protein intake is roast chicken.  I buy one or two pre-cooked roasters from BJ's every weekend, chop it up into 3 oz. baggies and I am good to go!

It is a very boring diet when I do this but at least the chicken fills me up!  And it is more than 20 grams of protein in 3 oz.  Zero carbs!  Whoo hoo!

Now that I think about it, though...maybe I SHOULD get some tuna...mix it up a little bit!!  How is fat free mayo?  Any good or is it totally gross?

I use the low fat.  It tastes better and is not that much more in the calorie count.  Same for cottage cheese.  The fat free is awful but the low fat is not bad at all.

Oh, okay...cool...that is what I normally use.

Hey!  I think I may have found a solution to my New Whey problem.  Usually I chase each sip with diet soda (bad me, I know)...

This afternoon I took a big sip of water (which has the decaf Totally Light2Go Iced Tea powder in it)...and, while the water was still in my mouth, I poured in some New Whey and swallowed.  I repeated this for the three gulps it takes to fini****

NO nasty taste and NO tummy ache after!  I hope this was not a fluke and I hope I remember to repeat these steps again tomorrow!!!

I like the fat free may and the free miracle whip a little bit more. I don't even notice the taste difference even from the light. Then again I haven't tasted regular mayo or miracle whip since before surgery! :-)
Hugs n stuff!
