Vitamin Question
Hola!
Can you guys give me any recommendations for a good multi-vitamin? The one I was taking (don't ask!) is now making me sick so I need an alternative!
Also...are we supposed to be taking calcium CARBONATE? I thought that was what my doctor stated...
Thanks in advance!
Love and hugs,
JM

Jersey I use Equate Multi vitamins from Walmart and compared them with the Bariatric vitamins Karyn brought with her when she came here for a visit. Mine had a little more of somethings in them. I pay like $6 for 300 pills and they last me 150 days. My blood work has been good so they must be working for me. I also take a B12 2500 mcgs and 2 stool softners. That is all I take.

I totally LOVE the B12 path which I have advocated here for months. It is a dime size patch you put behind the ear and wear 'supposedly' for 24 hours. I say that I wear mine for 3 days at a time, my b12 was in the low normal range at my blood draw last month. And I feel so AMAZING about 90 minutes after I put it on, mental and physical clarity. Tori has also tried it so I hope she jumps in to sing the praises. www.b12patch.com - worth the $8/week
I recently spoke with a friend who is having major issues due to calcium deficiency. Not a WLS person, just normal. It made me worry and I take a pill with my first swallow of water every morning. (not good on the multi, though)
Hope this inspires....

I plan to take a prenatal forever. So if your current is making you skick b/c you ar pregnant, switch to a good prenatal - Nurtinate - chewable or Tandem OB - lots of iron in this one
Calcium Citrate not carbonate. Take with vit d (dry form) for better absorption

I still take the Optisourse post bariatic mulit. My blood work had been great. I do have to add iron (always have been anemic even pre-surg) and of course calcium but I take the viative chews and everything is fine.
I also take fiberchoice waffers as I tend have trouble in that area

Thanks, Ronna...I will check that out, too.
Hmm...where did my response to Jen go? It looks as though it disappeared. Ok, maybe NOT liking this new format!!
