My surgeversary at 3
Ok, I am at 3 years. I have lost 13? pounds and am holding. Would I do it again? In a heart beat. Do I have regrets? Yes, but it is more that what I lost the weight to do, I am not doing anymore. Is it a pain? Yes. I do not eat some foods. I pay way too much for what I do eat when out, which is fairly often.
I am healthy, my asthma is almost gone, use to go thru 4 inhalers a month, now I go thru maybe one a year. I do not take Singular at all anymore either. My bloodpressure is perfect. My cholesteral is perfect.
Foods I dont' eat. I DO NOT and WILL NOT EVER eat sugar. I limit my fats to the point where I crave it and have to get some in. I try to eat whole grain breads, but eat Sara Lee 45 calorie white bread. I eat non fat cream cheese. No sugar Jelly. Sugar free foods on a limit, as they still have calories.
My day today, a little light , but somewhat normal
3/4 cottage cheese, low fat
6 cubes of pineapple
1/4 cup soy beans roasted
1 banana
1 tsp of peanut butter
1 slice of pizza ( very rare)
When on the road I snack on sunflower seads that I have to shell. I eat cream cheese on bread with sf jelly as a snack. Banana and apple (If good) and we eat at the salad bar where we bring our own dressing that is 15 calories a serving. I make sure to add eggs to the salad for protein.
I decided when I had the surgery that I would follow the rules for the rest of my life. So far I have. I can't tell the difference of splenda and real sugar. Am going to try the new sweetner, Truvia in the next week. I measure what I eat, in that I know what size my food needs to be. I still get sick if I eat too much or the wrong thing. Heavey meats like dryer steak will do me in. Sugar will do me in, even a bite of sugar based cakes. Too much fat does it too.
Well, that is what I have to say on this day. Wishing you all the best.
Kristi

I have heard you can get stuff like dumping back, but not sure. Never heard of someone actually doing it. I guess it can be like smoking, the time will come and it will all click together and you will find a way, I guess, corny hun?
