Perhaps all of you are not aware that neather me or my family have never been in a place in which the temperature is freezing low...

Here in Jilotepec is not usual the snow but at this time it's usual to see the field cover in frost. We have never seen snow of frost, then it is quiet a scene to us looking the white landscape, but the problem is to manage the low temperature.

I bought electric blankets but they are not heating enough (at least as we expect them to be). I also have bought thermic underwear and heavy jackets, but everything seem to be not enough... how do you manage to live in places were it's freezing cold?

I have thought to buy some heaters but it looks like there are opposite opinions about them out of the operating cost...

Out ot the cold our life here is quiet and happy, I am sending greetings from Mexico...

Hi Alex,

It was 65 degrees here today.  We are setting record highs for Wyoming this time of the year!
I sympathize with you... it would be hard to be so cold if you are not used to it.
I will be in Can****he first of December.  I hope it is warm there!

Alex,
I know what you mean....my mother in law did buy some little space heaters to help for the cold in Zapotlanejo....she loves them and said that they werent too bad to run if you arent running them all the time. I know how the houses there are built so I can totally understand where you are coming from. Make sure you have plenty of blankets handy!! Keep warm and safe.

I was wondering if it would be convinient to buy one of those space heaters. The problem is that a lot of people say that they are not healthy due to the fact that they make the environmet so dry that it affect your pulmonary system. And I have problems with little Alex...

Thanks Steph... I think we will keep covered under a mountain of blankets... lol

Alex,

I am sorry you are cold.  I HATE being too cold or too hot.  I am a little snotty bat when it comes to a comfortable temperature!

I really don't understand ...  Does the house you are in not have central heat via a furnace and duct system?

God Bless! Jen

You are right Jen. Central systems are not usual here. Only the large office buildings use these kind of systems. Usually weather is beningn in Mexico, So it is not imperative to have one in your house. Usually blankets are enough. In fact the frost here only lasts few hours. At midday it's quiet nice. The problem is at dawn when you need to go out of bed. It becomes a torture due the coldness. But we will survive... lol!!!

Oh yuck!  I am such a sissy.  I turn the heat on in the morning and then by noon the air conditioning is on.

How are things?  The family still with you?  And adjusting?

God Bless! Jen

Things are wondefrul thanks God!!!

My family and I are enjoying the sweetness of a happy, quiet, stable life. After the caos we had to go through this is a kind of paradise. We have talked about the subject lately and the kids never felt "abandoned" by me due to the fact that although I slept with my parents and they were living with my family in law, they always had me present in front of the family. They understand that it was just a temporary situation and that Male and me never had issues as family.

I feel so complete having my family with me. The kids already have friends here and making social life, so the adjustement was really fast with them. Male is now socializing with some neighbors and as far as I know (in small towns you always know the gossip of the people) she is catalogated as a very nice sweet lady coming from a bigh city... lol!!

How is the new beby girl going on??? I hope your pregnancy is as satisfactory as you and your husband deserve...

Alex
