Checking in, peeps.....

Hi everyone, It is good to see so many of you active here. My summer has been busy but also kinda slow. The job I took a year ago is slowly winding down. They want me to go, I want to go and the work I am doing now is very basic although I have closed some major business deals for them. I take it for what it is, do it well and am actively interviewing for jobs that reflect my skills, management experience and leadership. I am in advanced discussions with a fabulous collection of hotels and I really want it to come together. Like many of you, I begrudgingly went back to the gym. Treadmill and yoga are the two thing I am doing. I should add a personal trainer to the mix, it sounds like it keeps you all more engaged and accountable. I have avoided the scale since I saw it at 198 - up 15 from my lowest - in fear of it showing results over 200. I keep in mind Jaci's theme of making this my sexiest summer ever and focus on being all I can be. My dating life is still nothing. I am a one dater kinda person, nothing seems to stick or be the right match for me. There's been no travel in the current job although I am going to Hong Kong for a week next month and then a few days in LA for a convention. I am enjoying being around my home and building more of a life in my community....although making friends in the suburbs is not easy. Thinking of you all and sending my best, ~Tiffany

Hey Tiff! I'm still trying to find work, I totally dig your gumption. Of course I love the heck out of you and you completely inspire me. The gym finally is working out for me. Yesterday I saw the number I was at when I started my To Be Hotter Endeavor, so that's encouraging- I had gained seven pounds the first week I worked out! I'm also proud to say Ive been hanging out at the Primerica meetings and one of the men there is an instructor at a top gym and he's getting me some guest passes to work with him...YAY!!! Dating... I was beginning to think I'd be single forever, ya know? Im those one daters too. But, I think there is a lesson in all of this... everytime we're out, there is an opportunity to learn, and I just haven't learned everything I'm supposed to. I can't give myself 100% if I still question my own actions, IDK. So I'm going with the flow, although its hard as heck! When you say LA, is that Lousiana or Los Angeles? If you're in Los Angeles, we HAVE to meet up!

Hey Jaci!!! So good to chat with you. I love the heck out of you, too. Yes, I mean Los Angeles. I first connect thru there on 14 July on the way home from Hong Kong but that's not good for meeting up - ha - but I'll wave! I am really there 26-31 July so if you can make it to the city, I'd love to meet up!! This week will be better for me at the gym, my horrific ear infection of 2+ weeks is finally just about gone. I will never again fly when a cold is kicking in...... I like your philosophy about life not having taught us all we need to know. Why just this morning I was stood up for a first date but met a really nice group of people while I was waiting at starbucks. LOL. His loss, I look really pretty today and had on a hot dress. And now I know which SB is a mecca to meet people on Sunday morning, especially male bike riders who have those nice butts. I just signed up on yet another dating site, singlesnet.com - so far I have emails from 10 guys so that will keep me busy next week, too. LOL. There are some really cute summer dresses at Target for only $17. I am getting used to showing some skin in public. Good luck with the instructor and trying out the new gym!! Hi Tiff, Glad to see you again. Hope the dating scene gets better for you. I just read your meesage to Jaci about face book and asked my daughter about making one for me and she said this is rediculous.....It started off for college kids and then highschool kids got into it and now old people too. Ugh.....I am a college student (and she is not any longer) I have more right than she does. Kids what a pain.....If I decide to join facebook I will let you know. I am learning to love the gym too. What a great new picture, Chris!! You look gorgeous!! Facebook is very easy, I find MSpace to be a bit hard to figure out so give it a shot. It's entertaining and a fun way to keep in touch and less artsy/funky than MS. Most of the people I interact with are colleagues from work....and I have found many old friends from HS and college. Your gym posts keep me going so I'll try to post more so we can work it thru together.... Hugs, Tiff

Thanks Tiff, I had that pic taken on mine and John's anniversary. He made me feel so pretty. The best I ever felt. I bought a beautiful green dress and a few weeks before was my mother in laws 70th bday and bought a beautiful black dress but when I saw the pics I saw my rolls of fat in the dress and it really upset me. I guess we are our own worst critic. So I needed a new dress. I need to upload those pics to my computer once I figure out my camera problem. Hugs and lets do the gym together.
