I attended a great class recently, the point they drilled down in is are we respond to our deepest fears and those typically go to one of two parallels - fear of rejection or fear or failure. WOW. That resonated with me. I am fear of rejection - I know I will succeed in what ever I do....but it makes you really think. What do you fear most - failure or rejection??? WHY???!! ~Tiff (Lets get talking again.....)

Fear of failure is not an issue for me because I consider myself a go getter when I wanna be. I used to have fear of rejection, but it's such a small issue to me now. I look at it like this....it just doesn't go down for EVERYBODY. I'm included in that everybody. I know it seems SO simple, but it really is just that simple for me at this point. As far as men, I think that hell....I'm not interested in every man I meet, so I can't expect every man I'm attracted to to be interested in me. AND IT'S OKAY! Of course our little egos are hurt for a minute, but then I get over it real fast and move on to the next! April

Me........fear of failure.....BIG TIME. In fact my name for myself (at times) is 'BIG OLD FAILURE GIRL'. As a result, I always focused on the things I have done 'wrong' rather than on all the things I have done well. Rose from PA

For sure rejection..............I am so bad at that sometimes I get all pumped up and then I just talk my self right on down ...like sabotage I have no clue why I do it to myself.... As far as failure I seem to get right back up and start over without a problem.. Crazy stuff... Tori

I would say I have a fear of failure more than rejection. At other points in my life it may have been the other way around. Sometimes if "I think" I cannot do "it" perfectly, I just won't do it or I'll avoid it as long as possible.

WOOOOOW!!! that is an excellent question!!! For me it has one answer: It depends!!!! I fear rejection when it comes from somebody really important to me. So far I have learned to be happy and offer the best of me without expecting anythng coming back. So far it has gone so well that rejection is no longer an issue for me. In the past few years when so many jobs rejected me for one reason or the other it was not an issue regarding on my feelings. It was hurtfull for the sake of the problem it represented but it never hurted my feelings or my self esteem. In other scenarios, I have my life full of my loving family to feel afraid of rejection from anybody. I have meet people who live Failure is more an issue for me. I fear failure when I am not sure of what I am doing. Experience has brought me wisdom enough to take risks but always calculating my probatilities of success. So far I feel comfortable taking risks in a lot of scenarios in my life whith a high percentage of success. When it comes failure, I take it and learn from it. Wisdom comes from our failures. Excelent subjetc!!! Alex
