ok girls i need some help!

Well i have gained some weight back (about 15 lbs) ALOT of stress in my life right now: father in law has cancer, my horse is sick/hurt, buying a house, the way the economy is, etc..... I know it is not an excuse, but **** happens..... so what can i do to get back on it!!! with the nice weather coming i want to be able to get back to where i was and even lose more! any help would be appreciated... or nice words!!! As usual, I always come back to the best board there is!! the great people on OH!! thank you Cybill

I would suggest going back to the rules. Measure everything. Track all calories, plan each day every meal and don't go off of it. Eat 6 small meals a day and not until full. Don't drink with meals if that was part of your rules. Then, protein first, heavy proteins, so they keep you full longer. Stay away from carbs for now. Exercise like it was a religion. You need to burn more calories than you eat. 3500 calories is one pound or gain or loss. So if you have been eating around 2000 calories and have been gaining, then you need to get down to 1000 a day. The 2 biggest things, NO SUGAR EVER!!!!!!! and you can drink your way out of the surgery, so don't drink anything with calories in it, except protein drinks. You still have the tool, just need to use it again. I have set a rule for me that has worked. If I gain 2 lbs, I cut back, way back, for a couple of days and loose that weight. I never let it get more than the 2 lbs. That was how I gained the weight the first time. Best of luck
