Hello, my name is Wendy and after 2 years.....I still like food. I just like to eat! I baked a batch of nobake cookies this week-end. Not a soul in my house needed them, yet Friday night, there I am in the kitchen. I probably ate 10 cookies myself. I have broken out like a 16 year old. I was really wishing that I would dump the sugar.....but NO....it did not bother me one bit. My 2 year anniversary date has passed, but my 2 year MD appointment is end of February. Wendy

Hello, my name is Kay and after 2 years.. I still LOVE, CRAVE and OBSESS over food especially sweets. Saturday night, head hunger kicked in and I wanted something to snack on. I found a bag of frosted animal crackers/cookies in the pantry. Throughout the day, I ate almost the entire bag. Not a huge bag but big enough to be ashamed of myself. Like you, I wish I dumped on sugar but I don't. I do get a tummy ache but no dumping. Kay

Looks around nervously and clears throat. Hi, my name is Robin and I'm a chocoholic. I also have a minor addiction to baked goods. I try to limit myself as I have no internal alarm that says when I've had enough (translation: I DON'T DUMP) but so far I have been unsuccessful. I still have no other coping mechanisms for stress. Well allow me to introduce myself...my name is April and I'm a Carbaholic! I love chips, crackers, bagels, donuts...anything with lots of unnecessary carbs. I try to break the habit but it lurks at all times. I know I can overcome these cravings, I just have to do it which is the hard part. I need a 12 step! April

Hi my name is Tori and am addicted to some kind of food just not sure which one as so many things make me sick so I take a bite this and a bite of that and then I find something that works so I eat that until I get burn't out (usually a month or two) and then I am back at it again. Tori

Hello - my name is Rhonda and I am a food addict, especially chocolate - that EVIL food. I do not dump and know my limit on what I can have and I usually do. I know they did surgery on my stomach and not my head - I just need to get a grip and stop! Thanks and that's all! Rhonda

Hello, my name is Kim and after 2 years I'm still a foodaholic. I love food. That's what got me into trouble in the first place. I too have had those days when I do nothing but eat. Fortunately, I do dump although not as soon as I would like. I have to have a lot of sugar or fat in order for the dumping to kick in. I just keep reminding myself that I didn't have brain surgery and that now that I have this tool, I have to use it to the best of my ability and make better choices. We all will have days when we don't make the best choices, but afterall we are human. When I mess up, I just say, well, I have to to better tomorrow. I admit I'm a lurker on this and some of the other boards, but I find the info and the support - even for a lurker is amazing and I take comfort in know that there are others out there with the same stuggles and challenges that I have. Thanks everyone! Kim 246/143

Hi, I'm Tiffany and also a food addict. I use food for comfort and companionship. I enjoy going to the grocery store, finding all kinds of good things and having a full refrigerator; almost a hoarding exercise. To help manage this I keep a list of foods I have to throw away because I bought too much and could never get thru it all. Carbs and sugar don't tempt me much, I like real foods - like a casserole. Or thick cream cheese on something. Or a spinich/artichoke dip. Sugar does not work for me, I've not eaten enough to dump but close enough that I know that one more bite will be very unpleasant. I am proud that I then stop and make myself think about why I picked up that particular food. Sometimes I'll think about a food and will eventually have to go out and get it because I cant get it out of my head - a burger, thai food, etc....this can linger on my mind for hours or days. Overall I eat a very nutritious diet. But even too much of a good thing is bad. I am fortunate to have a mechanism to make me stop eating. But then an hour later I am looking for something more. I have found that I can easily substitute wine for food so I closely monitor that. I am working on my relationship with food, that it is there for nutritional purposes and not to be my friend or companion. The only foods that make me ill are soft rice (screaming pain, probably as it was soft rice and I drank some water after eating) and ice cream, especially the sugar free stuff.

Good Evening. My name is Jaci and I am Fast Food, Frosted Circus Cookie, and Soda Addict. I can't stop thinking about them. I work in fast food and see the tasty cheese sticks and spicy bites all the time. Circus Cookies make me drunk. Diet Coke is a staple in my life. I dump horribly due to hypoglycemia... I know exactly how much I can have before getting sick. Isn't that terrible!?
