RESET YOUR POUCH - Day 5

It is kind of funny that I am still calling this Reset Your Pouch because, well, it is SO not that, anymore! Yesterday I had a tiny piece of my quiche for breakfast (YUM!). For lunch I had half of a small chili from Wendy's (with cheese). I had 2 protein vials during the day (gag)...50 grams of protein. I had one sugar-free Jell-O cup...a whopping 1 gram of protein! I had about 80 ounces of fluids (mostly water, I swear!!). And then I had pasta last night! It is my most excellent angel hair pasta (if I do say so, myself ). I made it because Jersey Kid loves it and I just could not resist it (but it is soooooooo unhealthy)! I did not eat a lot of it, though, and...get this...after only a few bites I was REALLY full! So maybe this RYP deal is actually doing something here! And the best part of this week is that I did not have one single piece of candy...no cookies...no nothing! And I have had my all-time-favorite candy (Reese's peanut butter cups) sitting on passenger seat in my car for a week because Jersey Kid needed them for school but I did NOT eat one! So I am going to tag it as a success! So what if I only lost 3 lbs. Wait...did I say ONLY 3 lbs? Am I crazy? I have not lost 3 lbs in EONS! So I am happy! And I think I might head straight back into the B2B... Today I weigh 167. I am 4 lbs away from my lowest post-WLS weight and 7 lbs from goal. Getting there before Christmas would be a GREAT Christmas present!! Hope you all have a successful day! Hugs, JM

Jersey, I know you can do it....hang in there and you will get to your goal by the holidays! This is a very hard time of the year, but if you can stick to it MOST of the time, you will have won the battle....in fact, you have already won it! You are healthier for Jersey Kid! Happy Friday! Rhonda

Jersey, This is awesome! I am so PROUD of YOU! What a great week. I did well yesterday too and hope to see it on the scales soon. I want to see below 145 on Mondays weigh in.....John (hubby) says we live about 5-6 hours apart so not too much of a bounce. (***with all my flab I can make it on one jump) Hugs, Chris

3 pounds is AWESOME Even with your couple of "slips" you have done a wonderful job. I had 7 mini quacker oat carmel corn rice cakes yesterday. Just had to have them. The only have 2grams of sugar so not too bad, but the processed carbs are so not good for me. Had to take a hit of insulin because of it. But other than that I did pretty good. Had cottage cheese and banana for breakfast, protein shake and an apple for lunch and broiled some chicken breasts which I had for dinner and another apple before bed. And I didn't have a sugar crash int he middle of the night So I woke up feeling pretty good today. I have some steaks defrosting in the fridge that I will broil for dinner. These are small sirloin steaks that have the American Heart Association seal of approval. They only have 2 grams of fat and 130 calories each with 23 grams of protein. So a really great choice for me. Will probably also have some steamed veges to go along with it. My only problem with the RYP is that I always get constipated Which is not fun
