Morning! My mood is a little better today since I FINALLY lost one pound (pathetic how that improves my mood, isn't it?). Anyhow...another day of RYP...which, for me, is more of a really strict B2B. I ended up having my quiche for dinner last night. It was beyond yummy!! If you have never made a quiche before, you should definitely try it! It is easy to make and sooo good! I will post my full menu later...I can tell you right now, though, I had a tiny piece of quiche for breakfast. Have a GREAT, successful day, everyone! Love and hugs, Jersey Mom

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad things are looking up for you!!! I have NO idea what quiche is... is it an egg thingy??? I had 3 oz of tuna last night. Um, if I was supposed to feel a tight pouch like they said on that web page, it didn't happen. Maybe I really did stretch it out and ruin it??? I have no idea, but I'll be damned if I ever get so freakin fat again in my life anyway!!!! (and the tuna tasted really nasty and I'm not sure why. I normally like it and thought I'd love it cuz it was real food!) I see we can have some ground meat today and that's what I'm having for dinner. Otherwise I'm just doing all liquids still and a few crackers through out the day. I'm kind of doing the liquids so long because I plan on doing the chicken and fish for the weekend. I'm going out of town to my sweetie's house and that's usually where all hell breaks loose! I know we are going out for pizza on Sat. night with the kids. I love pizza Anatomy and Physiology test for me today then I'm done for the week, woo hoo!! Have a great Thursday! Hugs n stuff, Renee

Hey Nee (does anyone call you that?) You are doing great! Good for you! Yes, quiche is an eggy thing...mine also has bacon and mushroom. It is baked in a pie crust (or without) and is really fluffy and yummy. I am not really a big egg fan but I seriously loved my quiche. And...I am with you...my pouch does not feel tight at ALL...guess I stretched it! Now I guess it is up to me to refrain from filling its huge size!! Good luck on your test...have a great day! My surgeon says it is impossible to stretch out the pouch, it is a muscle and it would take HUGE amounts of food which I could never think of eating. We can stretch out the stoma which changes how long food remains in the pouch. Dont beat yourself up on this!! We have come so far and it is important to appreciate our accomplishments rather than focus on perceived errors. Hugs, Tiff PS - would love your home made quiche recipie, just the egg part. The frozen one I used to buy tastes good but too salty for me. And the premade ones are like $12 at whole foods which is even more than lazy chef Tiff will pay.

There's a great quiche mix in the frozen section. Just let it thaw in the fridge for a day.... Sometimes it tastes too salty for me but I get past that as I am sensitive to salt as it is. I use a pyrex pan to cook it, spray the pan with olive oil and then pour the mix in - no crust, no carbs! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE quiche!!!! ~Tiff

Renee you didn't stretch your pouch. 3oz is not enough. I had one of the Starkist Tuna things for lunch (the sweet and spicy kind) and it ws 5oz. I mixed it with a little lf mayo and I was full. But I would have wanted more if I only had 3oz. Try and kick the crackers. One of the whole points of the RYP is to de-carb yourself. I was a pretzel o'holic and the processed carbs were not doing me any good. Now I try and only eat good carbs, fruit, veges and whole grain. And I'm doing much better. I was stuck at the same weight for more than 6 months and this is the only thing that made that damn scale move again. NO PROCESSED CARBS!!!! You can do it! Sending hugs, Ronna

hmm I really don't count the crackers as a failure for this. I get nauseated and it's the only thing that helps. I seriously have 3 crackers the entire day long. Only thing that helps. I had that from day one since WLS (when I had the protein shakes, liquids, etc) and carried around crackers in my purse. You're such a good girl with eating!! Congrats!!! I had the pretzel addiction too. Kind of funny how that goes. I guess for some reason I thought they were better than chips but I think the calorie difference is next to nothing. I was 160.8 on nov. 14..went down to 154.4 just restricting cals, until the weekend then back up to 158 when I started the RYP. As of this morning I am 151. So it's working for sure! My tuna packs are only 3 oz so that's why that's all I ate. I'm going to see how I do with the ground beef tonight and see if that makes the pouch feel full. Hugs n stuff, Renee

Not scolding you sweetie, just know how the processed carbs do a number on us. Anyway you can switch to wholegrain crackers? Just a thought. And you seem to be doing great with your weightloss! Hugs and stuff Ronna
