Well, of course Jersey Mom is going to vote for NYC! And...keep in mind that it would be a much better idea to get a hotel outside of the city than inside. Inside is just too expensive!! And I may be able to board people if anyone is interested...just have to check with Jersey Husband!

I just read your offer to board ... if we go to NYC and no one else takes you up ... I can come, bring Faith, and sleep through the night! I hope by then I have everyone cured and are back to sleeping.

I can't believe that it's almost 2 years With me still not working, I could only go if it's in Chicago. Probably wouldn't even get a hotel room but meet folks for any events we put together. I can offer a pull out sofa at my place for anyone who wants to come but needs to keep the costs down. Just one point, you need to like dogs as I have a big one. Sending hugs, Ronna

I vote for Houston. Ronna has family here. Valerie, Texas Girl (Rhonda) and Karla are all within driving distance! Moody Gardens is in Galveston and does good group rate thingys. We have two airports and practically any airline flies in/out of Houston. we are one of the fattest cities, so we have food, not all WLS friendly but lots of good stuff. Moody Gardens has (at least last time I was there) an awesome Spa. We have a nuseum district; from kids to fine arts. Lots of shopping ~ The Galleria, Katy Mills etc. We have a good amount of arts The Theater District has - Houston Ballet, Theater Under The Stars, Houston Symphony, Broadway in Houston and more And Houston has ME what more could complete a city. My second choice is NYC. One of my dearest friends from high school parent's have a house in Elmhurst. Last time I went to NYC, she met me there and we spent one night at her parents. So I could probably stay WITH THEM ~~~~ for a hostess gift and treating them to a nice dinner. We used priceline and got 4 star hotels in Manahattan for less than 100.00 per night - in August 2006. Additionally, NYC is close enough to home that I could visit my family. Chicago would not break my heart but let me tell you we would be damn cold! My brother is 3 hours north in Madison so I could visit him too. AND IF I COME ~ FAITH WILL COME TOO!

I's support Houston and could also tie in business as half of my company is based there..... And yes, Chicago (and NYC) will be darn cold in January!

Do you come to Houston on business? If you do and have time on a trip in, we should have dinner together. God Bless! Jen
