Back on the Boards
Hello old friends!
It has been a really, really long time since I've posted here. I've missed you all. I've been lurking on and off for the last week or so, trying to get my courage up to join back in. Like some of you, my eating has gone to crap and the scale has creeped up a few pounds. And, although it's not a significant amount, I've let the exercising slide so what was muscle has turned into fat. That, coupled with feeling so lethargic due to my crappy eating, has really gotten to me.
So, I recommitted myself to healthy eating and exercise yesterday. I also want to focus on eliminating the mindless grazing and really try to eat only when my body says it's hungry. I've gotten rid of all the food in the house that was calling me to the kitchen constantly and replaced them with low carb tortillas, turkey breast, string cheese, etc. I was getting virtually no protein anymore, so I'm really trying to get at least one protein drink in each day in addition to the protein rich foods I'm eating.
My hope is that by coming back to the friends and support on the board will keep me on track and accountable. I was so happy to see that the January 2006 board is still very active with members and that you're there, supporting each other. It reminds me why I liked our board so much to begin with.
So, I will try to check in daily and stay focused on my goals to get back to basics and live a more healthy lifestyle. Thanks in advance for all your help and support!

Hi Lisa,
On Monday Oct 29th (I think) we all posted goals for where we would like to be in 8 weeks and every Monday we post where we are. You can still jump in at any time....It just gives us each a little more support and sometimes callenges are easier wen done in a group. Dawn is in charge of the challenge....
Good luck, hugs, Chris
Dear Liza...
Let me welcome you with open arms!!!!! I did not recognize you at all...
Thanks to your old pictures in you profile I could realize that it was you...
I am so happy to have you here...
Your efforts to go back to your path are awesome!!!!
I had a little "accident" three months ago... when I realized that something was happening I had 15 pounds more over me... I went direclty to the nutriologist and changed completely my way of eating. I have 6 weeks with my weight under control (it goes 2 pounds up and down) and really working hard to keep it there...
You will go back to your ideal weight. I am sure of it. We have gone too far to go back now!!! NO WAY!!!
Best Regards
Alejandro from Guadalajara Mexico
It is good to see you back. I have thought back over the whole WLS journey that we are on and have realized that we all seem to go through the same things at the same time, so, this must be another part of the journey. I think this may be where we make it or break it as far as weight loss. If we pay attention to where we are and what we are doing wrong and correct it, we will be fine. If we chose to ignore those few pounds and keep going in the wrong direction, we will not be fine.
Keep in touch and be a part of the support system the January 06 board has built,
Hazel
