Good morning everyone-First thanks again for all of your support and advice through this rough time I have been having-The good news is that all of Matthews tests came back negative for anything wrong re anything GI related, I am thankful for that however he is still having the issue of chronic congestion and is still making a goose like sound when he eats, he is also waking up in the middle of the night numerous times like he is choking and he is snoring-he almost sounds like my husband did prior to being diagnosed with sleep apnea-the GI doc is puzzled and may send him to an ENT or a Pulmonary Doc at this point-For the most part he hasnt been as fussy or gassy but he still is an extremely restless sleeper-he doesnt sleep for more than 10 hours a day total, that includes the evening so I am still sleep deprived and trying everything to make things better for everyone-Ill update as I can and again thanks for all of your support! Lori

Hi Lori, Praise God all is fine with his GI system. I am not a doctor but do play one on TV. ... I have a question about his congestion. Is it nasal congestion or chest congestion. I am assuming chest b/c of the possible pulminary referral. But, if it is nasal congestion, ask your doctor if you could try those breathright strips to open up his airway on the nose to get the air flowing better. Just a thought ... Does he sleep flat or do you have him on an incline? If he is laying flat, try placing a wedge under his mattress at the one end so his head is higher than his belly. Do you have an Angel Monitor? If not, you may look into getting one. There is an alarm that sounds if the baby does not move for X number of seconds. It gives me peace of mind ~ not a gurantee but peace of mind that if something goes wrong, I would be alerted. It helps me sleep a little better. You need some sleep. Is there someone that can watch him for a few hours a few times a week to let you get some sleep. When I was preggo with Faith I had a mother's helper and some days when she was here, I would nap and let her watch the kids. I was right here in the house and available if she needed me but it gave me an opportunity to rest. I hope this is not to intrusive, just trying to help. Hugs to you and the boy! God Bless! Jen
