My Son....
is sick again. I do not normally do this because I feel hypocritical about it lately but...
if anyone would like to say a prayer for him and send good thoughts his way, I would appreciate it more than I can say.
He came home from daycare yesterday with a runny nose. No big deal but I was a little pissed that they had the kids outside. It was very cold and damp yesterday...I never would have expected them to take the kids out.
I brought him home and thought he was okay. He wanted to watch Shrek so I put it on for him and went upstairs to start dinner. When I am upstairs, I check on him every 2 minutes so, for the first check, he looked fine. I checked him again a second time and he was asleep!
I went down and felt his forehead and he was blazing. I used the beepbeep (what we call the ear thermometer) on him and he had a 100.9º fever. I woke him up and gave him Tylenol and water. He fell back asleep. I went in the next room to throw in a load of laundry and then went back up to finish dinner. When I came back down, I used the beepbeep again and his fever was 101.9º (well AFTER giving him Tylenol)!
I then gave him Motrin (which is stronger) and he was weak and whimpering. He ended up sleeping with us and, literally, moaning in his sleep the entire night.
This morning he still has a low fever but he seems a tiny bit better. Looks like another trip to the doctor.
Seriously...thank you for letting me unload here. I have no place else to do this. I don't want people at work knowing my business and I don't want to upset my Mom, either. So...although I know I am the world's biggest downer, I want you to know that I am so thankful for you guys!
So...any prayers or plain good wishes would be appreciated!
Love and hugs,
JM
Oh Jersey I am so sorry. That poor little guy has been through so much. But let me tell you, my older nephew, who is now 25, was always sick as a little kid.
Ear infections, asthma, alleries, feveral seizeures. He was a mess and so is my sister. But the doctor told her he would grow out of this and boy has he. He is a big bear of a man and is hardly ever sick.
I hope JerseyKid will be the same.
