Too Upset for Roll Call Today
Hey, my friends...
Can someone else tackle roll call today? I am exhausted and miserable.
My son has been back in day care for three days. He came home from school with a runny nose yesterday and, by the evening, he was warm and fully congested. He woke up several times last night and whimpered in his sleep a lot. This is the way it ALWAYS starts. A runny nose and congestion inevitably leads to breathing issues, nebulizer treatments 3 times a day and an overall miserable little boy.
My husband and I are at a loss...we have no idea what we are going to do. My husband stayed home with my son today but...what about tomorrow? He is already begging to NOT go back to school. And I know it is because he is feeling lousy. Again.
I just can't drum up the energy for roll call today but I promise I will do it again tomorrow.
Love and hugs,
Jersey Mom
I will do roll call in a bit but want to post to you first.
Hugs to you and JK.
Has your doctor considered putting him on a maintenance medicine? Nathanial has allergy/asthma issues. Until we started him on Singulair, he was sick ALL the time. From 6/06 - 2/07 I had him to the dr 27 times - for real - not exagerating. Including two trips to the ER and one hospitalization. He has only been sick one time since starting the Singulair, which is now, fall allergy season and I am giving him the nebulizer a few times a day (Xopenex - which in my opinion is better than Albuterol)
God Bless!
Jen
Hey Jen:
Thanks for the encouragement. The last time he was in day care, he was on Singulair and the nebulizer three times a day (a mix of Pulmacort AND Xopenex). I guess we are going to have to start that treatment again...which I HATE.
Thanks so much, though...I think you just reminded me what I need to do again. WAAH!
Hugs,
Jersey Mom
Hey Jersey....Hope Jersey boy feels better soon. Nothing like having your little one sick. My son has passed out at school twice in 5 days and today had to take him for a cardiac work up and now he has a halter monitor on for 24 hours....I am sure his is related to stress. Here's to healthy kids
Hugs, Chris
