I was really beating myself up for gaining a pound and a half last week I started having my latte's non-fat and just cut out pretzles and popcorn and this week I am down that pound and a half plus one more. It is nice to know just a few behavior modifications can make a difference. I applaud those of you that can do the back to basics or that liquid thing everytime I try I fail and then feel worse. This way I can handle it not to big of a change but just enough ...whoever said this maintaining would be easy was wrong....its a constant struggle. Tori

Hey Tori! I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better! I hate that my emotional well-being is tied to my eating habits and the scale but, ah well, it is! I agree with you. I find maintaining MUCH more challenging than the initial post-op journey. It will be a daily struggle forever and, while that SUCKS, the results are SO worth it! Have a great day! Hugs, Jersey Mom

Hi again Tori, I am glad you are feelinf better. I too struggle with the scale and my eating habits. I so want to get to my goal weight of 125 lbs and was hoping plastic surgery would be the motivator but perhaps I will work that much harder.... I can do the back to basics but once I am off of it forget it I gain all the weight back....Stupid huh? Have a good day! Hugs, Chris

At least you can stick to the back to basics, I don't even make it a day. Maybe your body is where it should be that is when I stopped I lost more after my lbl but then went back up a little I was at 117 for a while and then went back up to between 120 and 125 and I think that is where I should be I told myself only freak when I go over 125 which is what happened last week but after some modifications I am at 124 this week. I bet when you do have your tummy tuck you will see that other weight drop off it could just be skin and fat that is trapped in that layer, I had that. HAVE A GREAT EVE TORI

I am glad you are feeling better. I for one know what it is like to put weight back on that I had lost. I am trying to get it back off now. I need to stop the sugar. It is really funny, but I never had sugar issues before. Hazel

I know what you mean, that is what first made me think even before I weighed last week that I had gained I had this pulling and some of those (firecracker shocky things, not sure how to explain) in my tummy muscles and it was tight like that small of an amount would have an effect ? But it did... and boy do you know it now when its that time and you get bloated !! There was a woman at one of our support groups that said a statistic I can't remember the figure of people that don't gain after having a lbl or tummy tuck, that was one of the things that pushed me to do it, I wasn't sure why then but maybe it is because it is very uncomfortable and you feel like you will pop ? HAVE A GREAT EVE TORI

Tori, glad you took it back off and feel better. I know I do when I get that way. Karla
