Update on me!
Hi ladies,
things here have been ver busy.....I am still awaiting my appeal for plastics, this is a third level appeal and is made independant from my insurance company. They reveiw it to see if the denial was warranted! They called me last week and said they need more info from my insurance company and they asked for 14 day extention and by law they are allowed if it could work on my favor. So please keep your fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed......
I met with vesid because of my workers comp telling me to look for a job and I have restrictions of not lifting anything more than 2-3 lbs and nothing repetive.....Being a nurse no one will hire me so it was decided to have me go back to school. I will be starting in Jan and the cost will be free! I am very excited about this and keep changing my mind as to what I should study. I love being a nurse and am thinking staying in the health field and perhaps doing Nutrition and specializing in the bariatric patient. Then I also think social work, or business or something else. Any suggestions? I went shopping yesterday and bought a Jansport bookbag on wheels for $30 and it is regularly $75. My daughter Elizabeth thinks I am a freak. Brittany is going to the same college and we are hoping to be in some of the same classes and She is looking forward to it as well. Elizabeth said she would be embarrassed to be in my classes. Not Brit though. She is playing college volleyball and is playing really well and she works very hard. She will be trying out for Softball come spring and I eep telling her since there is no age limit I might try out too.....That would be funny even though I am not physically able to play.....Well I thought I would share my exciting news and see if anyone has advice or suggestions. I will try and post more too as I miss being on here and connecting with everyone. Hope everyone is well......
Hugs,
Chris
Hi Chris
I've missed you Glad all is well. I will keep sending positive vibes out east....hopefully you will hear about the PS soon and it will be the answer you've been waiting for.
How exciting about going back to school. With your medical background going into nutricion with a focus on bariatrics would be a "no-brainer". Besides, I think you'd be great at it too.
Try not to be such a stranger.
Sending hugs,
Ronna
Good luck on your appeal! That is so stressful all in its own, not to mention the workers comp stuff. But..............going back to school????? What a wonderful and exciting venture!
good luck with that!! I would love to go back to school. My employer pays for tuition reimbursment , but my schedule is so crazy that I dont know if I could fit it in...
Hugs
