Thursdays Menu..tell me something good!
Hi all. The week is coming to an end very soon. Time is just really flying fast! So Day 3 of my Back on Track is here. The hard part has started because I go back to work. Snacking always happens at work for some reason. So, I'm packing some grapes to snack on as well as some fluids to fill my tummy. One of the things that used to get me was "I'm not hungry, I'm just thirsty." It actually worked for about a week or so. When I lived in Baltimore (just a few months ago), my eating habits were so much better, and I was still losing weight, so I need to dig deep and think about what the hell I was doing around that time to make me lose the weight. When I start seeing results, maybe that'll start putting things in perspective. So anyway....here's my menu:
LNS: 7 RF cheese cubes, snack cup of NSA flavored applesauce
B- 1 pkt. grits w/slice RF cheese, 2 lite sausage links
L- 7 medium steamed shrimp, salad w/FF cheese, some croutons, handful of cashews/pistaschios
S- I'll have a shake before I head off to work
D- my mom's making cube steak so I'll take some of that to work
Exercise: 20 mins. on ellipitcal, 20 mins. recumbent bike (5 mi.), 120 crunches
Vitamins: need calcium
Fluids: 34 oz. so far...it's still early

Work is slow right now so I'm checking in to share my menu!
Breakfast: 1/2 a big 3 egg omlet w/ lots of sausage, ham, bacon, cheese, onions and peppers & couple bites of a biscuit.
Snack: NSA/FF yogart
Lunch: Other 1/2 of my omlet from breakfast.
Snack: 2 orange peanut butter crackers and handful of grapes
Dinner: Healthy choice panani.. philly steak, onions and peppers
Snack: Protein shake and mini bananna

It's basically yougurt with cucumber and garlic in it. You'd use a plain greek yougurt (like Fage) and put it in a cheese cloth to drain off as much water as possible. Then skin cucs, remove the seed part, puree with some garlic and mix together. They have it at the salad bar at whole foods - and in all fine greek establishments. It's yummy!!
