Cravings........
Do any of the rest of you have 'obsessive' cravings (I don't know what else to call them)? I find one thing I can 'eat' and then it's the only thing I want to eat. It started about 4 months ago with pretzles. I ate pretzles and ONLY pretzles. It was all I wanted. Then it switched to wheat thins. Then to wheat thins and apples. Then to popcorn and apples and now it's ritz crackers with peanut butter. If I didn't know better I would think I am pregnant (no, I'm not - the works and the factory were removed YEARS) ago. It doesn't seem to be impacting my weight as I am at 118 pounds; but it makes me think I'm lacking 'something'..........(maybe my brains - LOL).
Anyone else have these 'cravings' or am I 'alone'.............

YES! Another WLS friend and I regularly talk about what 'phase' we're going thru....for one week its mexican. the next week its pretzels. the next week is cheese....and on it goes. This is pretty common. Ultimately its important that we're consistant with the core foods/protein so these little patterns dont overtake our eating and put on weight. You're not crazy!!!

I agree.....its so crazy my family refers to it like remember when your were in that popcorn phase or pretzel phase ...lol now I am in a dried apricot phase, and yes mine goes for like 3-4 months at a time and then I could live without that thing and I am on to the next. I think we must crave what our body needs. At least its not chocolate cake with chocolate icing anymore like the old days, the thought of sugar makes me ill.

I have a bad craving and a really weird craving...lol. The first is glazed donuts!! I need a glazed Dunkin Donuts in my system at least once a week. The very same reason I can't drop these last 10-15 lbs.! My other one is meatloaf...weird I know.
I'm happy to report that I have been glazed donut free for over a week now!
April
