Where I am

I just went back and looked at my charts. I am wanting to get my act together and get this baby weight off. When I looked at my charts, they were not exactly what my brain remembered. At conception I weighed 196.6. During my 1st trimester I lost down to 189.4 for a few short days. I came home from the hospital at 239 weighing more than when I went in - tons of fluid weight from the IV's and surgery. I am currently weighing in at 212.8. So I need to lose 16.2 pounds to get back to conception weight.. I just cannot keep the food out of my mouth. How can I get motivated? All I do is nurse the baby and eat all day and night! I know it needs to come from me and blah blah blah ... I just thought posting may help me with my thoughts and such. Faith is 8 weeks old today! God Bless! Jen

You're doing much better than you thought - kudos to you. I know nothing - nothing - about pregnancy and losing post baby. Except I keep hearing that nursing is supposedly like a super boost to your metabolism and with that, it will be eating the right foods that makes the difference. So go for proteins - things that fill you up and help the energy level stay high. With lots of nutrition for you and baby Faith! Soon she'll be off to kindergarten! For what my suggestion is worth.....hope it helps. Wishing you well!! ~Tiffany

Jen, you're in pretty good shape after just having a baby 8 weeks ago. Happy 8 week birthday to Faith! Like Tiffany said, get back to protein, eat beans w/ it, and when you think you're hungry some of the time if it's not time to eat, drink something. YOu'll get there soon! It is hard, but you can do it. Try posting what you eat. It makes you stop and think about it before you put something in your mouth! Karla

You have a healthy, happy baby and are down alot since her birth that's great. Now I on the other hand have no excuse for yoyo'ing the same 5 pounds for the last 6 months. All I want to do is eat as well. I know it's stress and emotional eating but I have an appointment with my surgeon in just about 6 weeks and would like to be back to his goal for me I can't seem to stop eating either. So my dear, at least you're not alone. Ronna
