Good Morning Ladies How is everyone doing?? I'm good.. life is good and I'm just good. I couldn't say that a couple months but I can say it now. The board hasn't moved so I thought I'd post to see who's lurking! I know everyone is busy on the weekends but I'm sure someone will stop by to check for activity, drama or whatever! Share a recipie, a joke or something exciting going on with you! Well let's see with me.. As you know, I moved back here to start over and things are going well. I should be getting a car in the next week or so. I LOVE my job! I haven't been able to handle a full time job in a long time but I am now and I feel great! Dating life is AWESOME! If I would of known it was gonna be like this, I would of got over things quicker than I did... lol I have been stressing loosing the last 10 lbs. so I switched things up a bit.. Someone on the main board who is 5 years post op and still maintaing suggested that I stop obsessing over counting carbs and just worry about calories. Sometimes we eat too many calories in a day and that causes our weight to stall or even gain. SO for the past 2 weeks, I have added good carbs to my diet and just try to stay within the 1000 calorie range and it worked for me. I've lost 3 lbs. since doing this. That brings me even closer to goal! I wanna go try on jeans to see if I can push all this skin into a smaller jean size! Oh, my daughter and I was experimenting in the kitchen yesterday with wheat pasta and made someing yummy! I'm sure people has done this but I'm NOT a cook so this is big time for me. lol We Chopped up chicken breast, turkey kilbasa sausage, onions, green pepers and garlic. Then boiled wheat penna pasta.. added broccoli florets to the water when the pasta is almost done then added big fresh shrimp. Then drained it, added it to the chicken mixture then poured cheesy alfredo sauce over it.. SOOO good! We were so proud of that ok, I'm rambled enough!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm on the way to church!!! Love yall Kay

Hey Pretty Lady I have to admit, I've been lurking more than posting lately. Been really busy, going on job interviews, getting ready for job interviews, going to PT, although I am almost done with that. I'm feeling pretty good. The sciatica has subsided and my back feels back to normal. The only weird thing is I have a bursa trauma at the left hip joint where it connects to my outer leg. My puppy knocked me down on the patio a few weeks back and I fell pretty hard on my left side and had a huge bruise right at that spot. My therapist noticed the bursa (I bulging at the joint) when she was hooking me up for my massage last week. It doesn't hurt though which is weird. I had one on my elbow joint once and it was really owey. So instead of heat packs with my massage we have been doing cold packs for the last week but it's still there. Weird. If it doesn't go away I guess I will need to see the doctor Anyways, getting ready to go to the movies and then out to dinner. Am going to see No Reservations. I will be meeting my old friend - the one that I found after over 30 years. We have been trying to stay in touch and have been getting together at least once a week. Its been fun. Have seen a bunch of movies in the past few months. I will post some reviews later. Need to run. Have a wonderful day. Sending hugs as usual Ronna

Hi Kay and Ronna! I have been a lurker also. I am busy, but with nothing exciting to report on! I saw the Simpsons movie and that is about it! My youngest sis is getting married next Saturday and I have been putting that together. It will be about 30 people, mostly family. I will have a brother and a sister staying at my house. My hubby and I are hosting the reception as we would have to feed a bunch of people anyway... so whats a few more pieces of chicken from the store and a few more pounds of potatoes for salad? I bought the cutest plates from Sam's CLub, they are square and full of bright colors. I have also been busy helping my youngest brother get back on his feet. He got into a bunch of trouble with drugs... so sad to have this happen to him as he is the only one of us that had children. I guess I am trying so hard to get him on the straight and narrow because of his youngest son. It has been touch and go but I am happy to report he seems to be doing well and might be starting down the right road. I will be glad when they are all doing well and I can stop playing mother! We are going to Yellowstone over Labor Day as my hubby said "Plan a trip for US. We haven't done anything fun for us this summer". I can't wait! Teresa

Hey Teresa, Thanks for chiming in! I seen the simpson movie too! It was kinda funny. I wish they would make a King of the Hill movie. I love that show! I will say a prayer for your brother. My brother went down that road with drungs and trouble and the only thing that set him straight was jail. It's been years and he is doing great! So, I understand what you are going through. I was home when my mom was helping him get back on his feet. Have a great day, Kay

Today was a beautiful day here in northern Chicagoland. I guess we had hard rain last night but I slept thru it and was surprised at the debris hanging everywhere this morning. Later, I had a late morning nap which made me feel caught up on my rest. I jumped in my little convertable and drove and drove. Its my way to suntan and get out; I wear a spagetti strap tank with a built in bra and short shorts. I won that car 10 years ago next month, hard to believe how time has gone by. It was a factor in my decision to have surgery as 2 summers ago I could not fit into it/had to roll out of it, and surely did not look good driving it. Its the little blue BMW Z3 that was in Goldeneye. I do drive like Bond...and now look like a Bond girl. My sister says I have a golden folk stuck up my arse with all the things I've won in life. This week I am going to WDC for work, am looking forward to seeing people and a change of pace. Worked on the basement office a bit but its hard to be down there when its sooo gorgeous outside; I am a sun goddess. Only 5 weeks until the surgery, I am focused on my cardio, vitamims and being healthy. Last night I was invited to a party bu****ched Harrison movies/drank wine. I am a social loser. Not really 'healthy' activity, either....... Kay, your recipie sounds yummy with lots of taste sensations. Here's to a great week ahead!!! ~Tiffany

Hey Tiffany, Thanks for rambling with us! I bet you DO look like Bond girl in that tiny car. I know it feels great to jump in and out of it with no problems. Have a nice day, Kay
