Weekend Eating

Hi everyone, How was your weekend? Did you have anything yummy to eat? Let's hear all about it!! I was doing very well with all my suppliments until yesterday when I neglected to have a shake. And then I had a few glasses of wine with friends at dinner. Well.....at 2am I woke up RAVENOUS with my 'protein deficient headache' so I had a profect. And then I woke up at 4:30am again RAVENOUS so I had another profect (and went out into the thunderstorm to bail water out of a window well that was leaking into my basement). When I woke up at 9:30am I was again RAVENOUS so I ate....here's my day. B: egg and cheese cooked in a wee bit of butter Profect Whey shake with soy milk, espresso, SF cinnamon dolce L: Hooter chicken strips, black beans, peas as a salad (love that dressing, its all butter, I know...I know) Whey shake D: probably the rest of the salad and add some shredded cheese, maybe a slice of chopped bacon Will likely have another profect before I go to bed, I need a good nights sleep and eating enuf protein is clearly a factor in this. Water - almost 3 liters Vitamins - yep Exercise - does driving my convertable all over town count? I did stretch out. Did not have the energy to go to the gym this morning. And while we're talking about food...I used my George Foreman grill yesterday to make quesadillas - Ezekiel has a great tortilla (3g protein, whole grain) and I filled it with LF shredded cheese and a bit of salsa, put some avocado on top. Yummy. That's my new cooking toy, what a shame it sat in the basement for so many years. For those who dont want to post your menu, how about sharing some high protein meais to give us ideas????? Tomorrow I might even get on the scale. Its been weeks.....6 weeks until surgery!! Happy Eating!! ~Tiffany

Thanks for posting Tiffany! My eating wasn't that great this whole weekend and I drank alot of liquor...all with good reasons! Friday night I hung out at a friends of mine and we ended up with too many shots and too many glasses of wine. And Saturday was a friends bachelorette party and we had a limo, so the rest is history. No designated drivers needed! But my eating was pretty crappy. I didn't eat enough and ate bad when I did eat. No protein supplements...Tiffany, you probably just got lightheaded from that statement. Girl, how much protein do you usually get in a day?! Well here's my menu for today: Burger King Whopper Jr. w/cheese with bottom bun, 1/2 sm. order fries 1/2c. cantaloupe mom made spaghetti w/ground turkey and italian sausage and I had WW noodles NSA fudge pop No vitamins but good on water. Had to rehydrate myself after last nights shenanigans. But this week...I REALLY need to get back on track. I go to Miami in a couple weeks, and back there again in September, and I wanted to look more svelte in my bikini. I'm taking two this time! April

Sounds like you had a good time, girl! I find that 50g is my threshold for the 'protein headache' or where I cant sleep properly. My chiro says my body does not have enuf amino acids to 'reset the body' which is what happens when we sleep. So now I am going to push for 90-100g a day and have something low fat/high protein an hour before bed. If the headache kicks in, it goes away about 15 minutes after I eat. I cant decide if I prefer the BK Whopper Jr or a double cheeseburger. I eat about 2/3 of the double cheese burger with almost no bun. I have a few fries, too. Havent had good spagetti sauce in a long time, sounds yummy. Bikini?? I am jealous. Maybe I'll think of it after the tummy tuck.

I worked today, but that is fun. If I didn't have so many family responsibilities I would be a workaholic. You know they say you trade one addiction for another. Actually I traded my food addiction for two, coffee(decaf) and work. I just wish the whole food addiction would go byby. But it isn't as bad. B nothing S nothing L one sm italian meatball, one bite burgandy pork, one Tbls corn salad, one bite cheesey broccolli, one bite cheesy cauliflower, one homemade dinner roll, sm piece no sugar added caramel apple cake. S sm cho**** cream cone. D skin off of bake chicken breast , homemade dinner roll. Down on fluids and everything else. Hazel

Hey Tiffany I had a great weekend. My daughter and I went shopping then I just hung out with friends. It's just so dang hot here!! Saturdy's eating was BAD.. I just grazed all day. Not one real meal just grazing. Today was bad too. My weekend eating is always bad. Breakfast: 1 wheat bagel w/ FF cream cheese Snack: few cheetoes & 2 starburst Lunch: 3 BBQ Chicken drumettes, Steamed cabbage and few bites of brown rice. Snack: 100 calorie pack of Hostess cucakes Dinner: 1/2 a beef enchalada.. wasn't hungry Snack: Bananna Tomorrow i'm back on track.. G'night, Kay
