Lower Body Lift Tomorrow!

This time tomorrow morning I'll be getting prepped for my lower body lift. I have to be at Health South Surgery Hospital in Houston at 6:00 a.m. My surgery is at 7:30 a.m. w/ Dr. Wainwright. I am pretty much packed. I have a few things to add. I have a bag for the hospital and one for the hotel. We won't come home until Friday after I've had a check up w/ Dr. W. Since I'll be 1.5 hrs. away, he thought I should stay in Houston. Ben and Ross will stay at the hotel starting tomorrow. I'll join them after 1 or 2 nights when I get released. We're staying at Hotel Intercontinental near the Galleria. I'm ready to get this surgery over and done and start recuperating. Tori, Lisa E., and Jaci...I'm ready to join you on the plastic surgery side! You've all been an inspiration, especially Lisa since we're using the same surgeon and actually in about the same shape. I hope I look as good as you have turned out w/ Dr. W. Say some prayers for me. Jen Jen, if you keep an eye on the Texas board, Tanya and Alissa are getting calls from a friend of mine when I get out of surgery and you can post it on the January board if you don't mind. I'll try to post again when I can...don't know how long it will be. Karla

Best wishes my friend. I am so envious, since I don't know if I will ever be able to afford to get it and I don't know if medicare pays for it. But I will definately be praying for you. Hazel

KARLA, You will be fine...let your men wait on you and do nothing ...rest...and if you have a chance have them pick you up one of those grabby things so you can pick things off of the floor without bending, if seeing dirty socks on the floor gives you that I have to pick it up feeling.... Hey Karla! I replied to your post over on the plastics board before I saw this one. I am positive that you'll do fine and your results will be wonderful! Dr. W. is a great surgeon. I'll pray that things go smoothly and that your recovery will be as uneventful as possible. I actually had my 4 week check-up this morning with Dr. W and everything is looking great! I haven't had a problem with fluid build-up, wound separations, etc. and I am released to go back to work in 2 weeks. I am so very please with the results that Dr. W got with this body lift and I KNOW that you will be pleased with yours, as well. Lisa
