Diet Pill Alli and WLS?
Howdy yall.
I had WLS Jan 2006. Jan 2006-I weighed 321lbs I lost down to 206 with that. VERY VERY HAPPY no complications at all.
I also had a tummy tuck April 16 2007. Now the day of my tummy tuck I weighed 210lbs I gained 4 lbs, but that's ok. No big deal. They cut off 10.9lbs of fat and skin from my tummy tuck. Now about 2 weeks after my surgery I weighed 201lbs, but of course I know swelling and fluid and periods and stuff make you gain weight. Now I have been good in eating right, getting the right amount of exercise. But the last month or so I have gone back up to 213lbs. HOW????? OMG how? It's like I gained 22lbs back in a way. Because they cut off 10lbs.
So I figured I would take something to maybe help. I started taking the Alli pill. Of course we already have a problem absorbing foods and I don't eat that much fat anyway. So I have had NO oily discharge or bowel problems at all. So what else can I do? Should I even take the pills? I WILL not take pills to make my heart race I hate those pills.
Any suggestions???
Thank you

We can't do Alli, it blocks the absorbtion of all fats, including fat soluble vit. So it is a no no for us, we already have enough trouble with getting what we need.
It is a fat blocker only anyway, so I don't think it would do any good for you anyway. Unless you eat nothing but fat.
Check with your surgeon on other options, there are some that are by RX.
I know they have that side effect of oily stools and such. But I have had no side effects from that at all. I figured my body was probably already using what it needs. Plus the foods I eat don't have much fat in em either. I just need a little boost of something to help. Thank all of you for your suggestions. GOD BLESS
