What ya eating on Thursday and my groove!
Hi all. I've been reading the previous posts regarding current eating habits. I'm so glad I'm not alone. My eating has been outta control lately. Some days are good and other days are HORRIBLE. So...I'm taking over. I'm going to start keeping a food journal again, and each day I post I'm going to post whether I had a good, fair, or poor eating day. Join me if you think you need some revamping! I need to get back in control, so that's my new groove! So here's my menu for today:
B- Power Bar Nut Naturals bar...trail mix flavor is good!
S- Low Carb Chocolate Smoothie from...Smoothie King! They are so good and 35g of protein
L- 3 oz. meatloaf, salad w/RF mozzarella and RF French drsg
S- I'll have a protein shake before I head off to work
D- I made some chicken w/broccoli and RF alfredo with less than 1/4 c. WW spaghtetti
Fluids: 32 oz. so far
Vitamins: need to take em!
Exercise: 45 mins. CardioKick class this morning
Eating: Good...so far

I wish everyone would participte in the menu sharing. I never really understood why other boards love this post but nobody here wants to play with us?? LOL
It helps me be accountable for what I put in my mouth. Today I had a good eating day and hopefully I can keep this up for the rest of the week. The week is not really my problem, the weekend is!
I wanted to go get me a smoothie today but I got busy at work! I love smoothie king!
B: Weight Control Oatmeal w/ 6 oz cc milk .. YUM and really fills me up!
S: Carb/Sugar Control yogart
L: Baked chicken thigh and Steamed broccoli
D: 1 Grilled chicken tender, 1 thin grilled pork chop & 1/4 c. olive oil linguine (sp)
S: Protein shake
Vitamins: on track
Exercise: work and I cut the grass.. frount and back!
Water: 48 oz so far..

Well I will try and participate more.
Today is the first time in ages I logged everything into FitDay and if I just stay with what is up there I will be OK. So here goes:
Breakfast: 1 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1 med banana and 10 med strawberries
Lunch: 1 cup Hoods CC Chocolate Milk and 1 scoop of Dutch Chocolate Isopure 6 ice cubes and bulleted into a really thick yummy shake
Snack: 2 cups of Watermelon
Dinner: 1 cup tuna salad, 1 small whole wheat pita, 1 large dill pickle
Snack: (May not eat it but it's in the food journal so I can if I want) 1 cup bite sized low fat pretzels
97 grams protein!
Also I found a new great drink! Lipton diet white tea with Raspberries. It's really good when it's ice ice cold

I, too, have good eating days and bad eating days. I try to realize this this is going to be a lifelong struggle for me and not get discouraged. Some days that works, other days not so much.
Here's my menu for today:
B - Bowl of shredded wheat and milk
S - South Beach Protein Bar
L - Chicken and cheese tortilla
S - 2 chocolate chip cookies
S - Protein shake
D - Corn and chicken casserole
Okay except for the cookies, I guess. I could say that at least it was 2 and not half the pack like it would have been pre-wls, right?

Like you, I have realized that this is gonna be a lifetime struggle. i have learned not to stress over the days when I eat way too much or eat something not so good for me. I cant eat only protein and veggies for the rest of my life. That's so unrealistic!!
You are totally right about the cookies. You had 2! Pre-op, how many would you of had?? I think we all have to learn that's it's ok to have things in moderation.
