I HAVE A DATE FOR INDUCTION!!!!!!!!!

After a day of peeking, poking and prodding .... we have a date! I am so excited and can hardly wait. I visited my High Risk OB and my primary OB today. Both visits went well. My amniotic fluid level is a bit high. My HROB advised me to lay off fruit and carbs. This is hard to do, I had a nectarine this AM without even thinking. At my visit to my Primary OB, we talked about induction for convenience and because of the elevation in amniotic fluid. She called and put me on the schedule for induction on July 3rd at 6am. On July 2nd I will go see my her and she will do an internal to make sure things (mainly my cervix being effaced) are ready for the induction on the 3rd. If she thinks I need a little help, she will admit me to the hospital overnight on the 2nd to help things progress to the point of being ready for induction. Faith is growing great. According to the ultrasound, her weight is 6lbs 11oz, with a + or - factor of 13 oz. I think she is closer to 6 pounds. The same HROB estimated Grace to be almost 2 pounds larger than she actually was. I am going with my instinct that she is currently about 6 pounds and will be close to 7 pounds at birth. I asked again about the pelvic, pubic, and sciatic nerve pain and pressures. My Primary OB suggested bed rest. She said the more I do and the more I walk the worse the pain will be. Well, with four kids under 3 ½ and no one to help me during the day, bed rest is not going to happen. I am just going to do as little as possible and try to avoid going up and down the stairs as much as possible. My baby shower is scheduled for June 30th, that should give me enough time to get things put away and in order after the shower and before Faith comes. I want to take the kiddos to respite on 7/1 so I can go to the doc and get all the last minutes preparations done before going to the doctor and hospital. I really thing I will be ready on the second. I will be 38 ½ or 39 ½ weeks depending on which due date is used. At 37 ½ weeks with Grace I was 90% effaced and had dilated a few cm on my own. I was then induced due to high blood pressure and swelling. From the point of induction to delivery was 7 ½ hours. I pused the sets of pushes and she was out. I expect that this delivery will be as easy as my first since my body knows what it should be doing this time. JUST TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY AND MY LITTLE FAITH WILL BE HERE !!!!

A new baby is always so exciting! I just know you can't wait, but she'll be here before you know it. Take it easy on yourself for a bit, and try to enlist some help if at all possible. Keep us posted! April

Jen, I am so excited for you and your family!! WE all can't wait to see pictures of our niece, Faith!! So post when you can! I am praying this labor will be easier for you and go abit quickier. I hope you have someone post or call so we all know how things are going. How long will the kiddos be at respite? I know you will miss them even though you will be busy. Try to rest up abit before July gets here- you are going to be one busy Momma!!! Hugs!!!
