I'm Home!

Lisa...glad to see you're home and feeling okay. Keep on taking that Vicodin. When do you go back for check-ups. If I know Dr. W...you'll go at least 2 times this next week. I hope you keep on mending. I go Friday the 22nd to see Dr. W...I guess at 1:00 or so...have to call Chelsea and find out the time...they never told me. Maybe I'll run into you there. I'll be in Humble for my son to have his wisdom teeth out Monday w/ Dr. Stanton in Kingwood. Hopefully we'll be home by noon or so. I have one month and one day and then hopefully I'll be as flat as you! Drink/eat your protein and keep up your fluids ( I know Dr. W will remind you of that)! Let me know if you need something...I'll be coming through Monday and Friday. e-mail me at [email protected] and tell me all about it! You know I want to know at this stage in the game. Karla

Thanks, Karla! I do feel pretty good - especially considering that this is only day three past surgery. I am moving around quite a bit better (other than actually getting out of the recliner - which is a little hairy). I go back at 8:45 on Monday to see Dr. W and then probably again on Friday, but not sure of the time then. I am right on the Atascocita/Kingwood border - if you guys have a few extra minutes, you should stop by and see the post-op period in all it's glory! LOL. My wonderful hubby is home with me this week and his grandmother is staying with me and taking me to the doc on Monday. Tuesday through Friday my dad is coming to stay with me, so I'm pretty well set. I don't think that I'll need anyone to stay with me after that, since I'll be a week and a half/two weeks post-op. I ordered quite a few of the Achiev One pre-made shakes and those have been really convenient the last couple of days. My wonderful hubs has kept my loaded up with my Crystal Lite and I've been doing pretty good getting the fluids in -- anything I can do to get these drains out sooner rather than later. You've been such a great resource, Karla -- I really appreciate all your help and your answering my tons of questions! Lisa

Glad to see your doing good. I have a lift chair recliner that my mom has already moved in to help me get up after surgery. I have a big stock of AchievONe, also. You'll be gone to Dr. W. Monday when we're there. Maybe I'll get to see you Friday. Usually on Fridays you have to see him at the Yorktown office starting at 1:00. I'm so happy for you that you've done the surgery and ready to get on w/ life. I hope you breeze through the recovery. My lbl is one month from today. I'm ready for it.
