Why Can't Fiber One Taste Like Coco Pebbles?
I was in a moment of frustration this morning when I wrote that. LOL -- TMI alert -- constipation is my constant companion since surgery. I try to stave off drinking MOM as long as possible and as a result, I supplement my diet with all kinds of fiber-type stuff. I'm on my 5th straight morning of Fiber One this week and was REALLY hatin' on it.

As a matter of fact, I have a box of the smooth move in my office desk drawer right now. I have found that nothing works consistently for me, so I mix it up some. Like I said, I try to incorporate daily fiber, I chew the fiber tablets with my vits, and usually once a week I either will take the MOM or a cup of the smooth move.
Is this something that will eventually regulate (as I realize it's been nearly a year and a half)?
I always thought it would eventually regulate but my cousin had surgery years ago and she said she had the constipation issue for 2 years. She said taking a stool softner everday was the only thing that helped her. Have you talked to your dr. or surgeon about it? Maybe they have some other recommendation.
HI Lisa.
At the drug store (Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada) I get BOWEL BUDDY..yeah, whata name! *LOL* HOWEVER, it works!
It is a two week supply...2 cookies per packet/day. 110 calories, they REALLY help me because constipation is NOT fun! It's a cookie packed with fibre and tastes great too.

I use BeneFiber and love it, it's a powder that dissolves clear and tasteless, I swear it does, I add it to everything, my shakes, crystal light, yogurt and when I'm cooking and there is a liquid component that I'm cooking with I add the powder to it. It's helped me out a great deal in the past month or so!
