Back to Basics Group #2 day 7...
Wow, can you believe we're almost through this round?
Just a few more days!
Who all is still with me? I'm hearing an echo in the boards...
Well, I went to my Group Power weight training class last night. It was a new routine for the next 6 or 8 weeks... it is gonna be a lot of work! I'm really surprised I am not sore this morning, but after the class I went swimming for about 20 minutes. Maybe that relieved some of the strain from my muscles. It sure felt good! The most amazing thing about getting stronger... I CAN DO PUSHUPS!!! On my knees, and not really very many, but I can do them! It's little things like being able to do 16 - 20 pushups, that makes you feel like you could take over the world!
What a feeling!
Well, enough jabbering...
Here is the plan for today...
B= Protein shake
S= string cheese
L= 2 whole eggs deviled & 3 baby dills
S= protien balls
D= pork loin?
W= have to get started
V= half way there
E= probably not today?
Oh, just another little editorial from me... those protein balls that I made... yum! Where have I been for the last year? I always thought, maybe I'll try them someday... They are really good! And they satisify my sweet tooth, too... so I can have one... act like it is a cookie... get full, add protein to my diet, and not end up taking a nap from the sugar intake... I can't wait to make them again! I found a post of about 5 recipes, and I made my own version combining what I liked or had on hand...
YUMMY! Here is my version:
1/2 c dry milk
2 + scoops protein powder (I used samples of chocolate, I'll have to buy some more)
1/2 c Special K Protein Plus cereal (crushed a little)
1 c chuncky Peanut Butter (I use Jif)
1/2 c S/F honey (thought the SAs would help me along, too)
mixed this all together and rolled the (walnut sized) balls in oatmeal.
then refrigerate.
Not sure the protein counts for everything... I will try to figure that out when I make them again. It made about 18-20 balls... YUM!
Talk to you all later. Good Luck with your BTB! Just do your best and keep trying!
Love ya,
Angela
