Wow moment! - X post

Actually two. I went to have my mammogram this morning, one of those necessary evils once you reach a certain "maturity". Now, the only change in my cup size has been the cup getting smaller as the band size goes down. My girls are still DDs. I have gone from a 48DD to a 34DD however. The first wow was being given a SMALL robe to put on! I have always had to wear the plus size gowns. I almost cried when I saw myself in the blue striped robe that all of the "normal" women wear. I didn't even care what size the girl pulled out of the drawer for me. All I cared about was that it was the regular robe. The second wow was the technician using the "normal" sized plates in the machine. She had looked at my records from last year and brought the larger ones with her. She said we would try the smaller ones and change to the bigger ones if we needed to. She was able to do the procedure with the smaller plates AND we didn't have to re-do any of the images. In years past I have always had to have at least one shot redone for one reason or another. Needless to say, I was on cloud 9 when I left the place!

Congrats Susan~ I too dread those mammograms but having to do them earlier than most I have gotten used to it. (I turn 37 in a few months but with losing my mom to breast cancer I have to have them done) Reading your post helps make it a little more bearable. Thanks! Do you find that even tho your cups are smaller its very hard to find 34DD bras? I am going thru that right now! Oh well I will take the smaller chest size. Hoping your still on cloud 9! Suzette

It's funny you should ask about finding bras. I went bra shopping last week and had an awful time finding bras that fit. I did learn that I will never have to worry about shopping in Victoria's Secret. I tried their 34DD and it fit like a training bra. I went back to my trusty Bali bras from Macy's.
