Don't you just hate....
I agree........I also don't mean to sound ungrateful.. but I would like to walk down the hall at work without 3 people saying wow you look great, are you done loosing, don't loose anymore, what size are you in now..etc.
I have run out of things to say, I do say thank you but I have never been one looking for attention...I WANT TO SCREAM LEAVE ME ALONE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way...not that I'm told I'm too thin at 177! Sometimes I get tired of people saying something about being skinny when I know I'm not. Last year I jumped on one friend because she asked how much I lost everytime I saw her. When you aren't losing that week, day, etc. It gets irritating. She quit asking.

I can't say that I loathe the statement so much, but it certainly gets on my nerves when people ask me how much I weigh or what size I wear or even how much have I lost. If I didn't tell you dammit....don't ask! I can honestly say that I may be getting too thin for my own liking. I've seen WLS that lose too much weight, and lemme tell you something....they look sickly. I wanted to lose the weight and look healthy, not to see how skinny I could get. I mean, if that's what other people wanna do, I certainly think they should do what's best for them, but I digress! I think people are so used to seeing us so much bigger that it's wierd to see us so much smaller. It's weird to look at my own pics!

Rhonda, great post.....
I hate stupid people and people who ask HOW did you lose weight? I am very open and honest with everyone and too me it is just rude to ask that specific question. The other day someone saw me who has not seen me since last June and she was like Wow you look so good, how much have you lost and was it weigh****chers? I hate the look in their faces when you say.....I had gastric bypass. feel like then they think I am a failure....
On the other hand the teenage girls my daughter plays softball with saw me in the school gym for the first time in months and I heard all these wispers like "oh that's Brittany's mom look at her" I smiled all the way home and when my daughter came home a couple hours later I was still smiling and she repeated what everyone said about me. I guess you get the good with the bad.....
Hugs Chris
Rhonda:
I have to agree with you on this point. I honestly think I could stand to lose at least another 20 lbs. But I know my facial features would suffer as a result. However, I would like people to stop telling me to stop losing weight. People are always saying, "You look great but you are DONE, right?"
The other day I sent my friend the picture from my avatar (the new short hair one). I do not see her very often. I emailed it to her and she called me right away and left me a voicemail telling me that she loves me but that she is very concerned about me because I am obviously losing too much weight. I weigh 167, for pete's sake! I am NOT a waif and I am NOT wasting away.
I do not think people mean to be rude...but I wi**** would stop, too. It is funny...at one point I bet we ALL wished that people would tell us NOT to lose weight. And now it is, quite frankly, a little annoying!
I can relate, Chickie...

My mom and I were just having this conversation today! It drives me crazy when people tell me to stop loosing weight. It's funny that the people that say this are overweight. I have yet to have a skinny person tell me this. I wonder wht???
I mean I'm happy with my weight loss and I'm gonna loose til I'm ready to stop. They can say it til they are blue in the face!
175 is my goal and I'm gonna reach it!!
