March 2, 2007 Anybody out there
Hello
I did my 1 year with my primary doctor yesterday. Everything is ok except my iron is low. I don't know why since I take a mega multi vitamin and extra iron. I told her at times I have problems with constipation. And my left knee has been hurting. Since I lost weight my bones really stick out but my left more then my right. She stated something like I might have a issue going on with my knee structure. Sometimes after a accident or massive weight lost. Things shift. I just looked at my doctor and stared. So next week I will be attending Knee exercise classes and therapy to help correct and relax the knee and calf muscles that are really tight. Also I have been waking up in the middle of the night with really bad leg cramps. I will continue to take all my vitamins and drink water....

I was wondering in the news it showed some of our January board friends living in the south have been getting some really bad weather how is everyone? Its high 60 in San Mateo California this morning.

Congrats on getting your one year checkup over and done with. You've done really well this year, Suzan. Sorry about your knee, leg cramps, and low iron. Hopefully all of that will get better.
We didn't have too bad of weather here in Texas yesterday. My husband is working near Mobile, Alabama and it was pretty bad there. He said there were tornadoes nearby, but he and our fifth wheel trailer were fine. I felt really bad for the town that's HS got hit. Such a tragedy.

That's great that you had your one year check up. Do we do that through our primary care doctor at Kaiser and not the bariatric SSF doctor? Just wondering because I never received any information on that. I guess I should schedule something with my primary doctor. Sorry to hear about your leg cramps, boy those are startling in the middle of the night. The weight shifting does strange things to our bodies so it's no wonder your knee is bothering you. Yep it's lovely in San Mateo today! The sun is shining and the weather is superb. It's going to get into the low 70s this weekend. I am loving it!

Congrats on the one year check. I'm another one who had to take extra iron. For over a year already. And I really don't understand it as I'm in Menapause already.....but what the heck. I take the Walgreen's brand and it did the trick. My iron has gone from 32 to 49
About the leg cramps. I have a really strange remedy but it works great (thanks Ladybug Mom). I have been having trouble with leg cramps and Charlie Horses for months. My Interest suggested take B Complex vitamines. I tried them, but no luck. My surgeon recommended adding extra calcium. Again no luck.
Chris aka LBM, reminded me of an aritcle int he local newspaper, where a Doctor recommended putting a bar of soap under the sheet at the end of your bed. Yep! A bar of soap. Well I did this while we were in Vegas and you know, IT WORKS
Since then, I have only had one episode of leg cramps. And what do you have to lose except a bar of soap
