Snowed In
They had been predicting a bad storm that was suppose to start late Friday. So my sister and I went running around Friday after work.....we both were needing things for our up coming Cruise.
So we wake up on Saturday and still NO SNOW Now they say it's not going to hit till after 3. So we head out to the mall (Hey I haven't been to a mall on a Saturday for I can't remember when) and run into a great sale at Penny's. My sister got a bunch of things she needed, and I even found a pair of shoes at DSW
Still no snow....so we decide to go out to lunch and then stop at Target on the way home.
We make it home by 3:30 and about 20 minutes later the snow starts.
We got it pretty bad but not as bad as Milwaukee who got 2 feet But we did get a lot of Freezing Rain which is worse, I think. A lot of folks are without power. Ours flickered a couple of times but stayed on...thankfully
So today I am just nesting.
How did everyone else do?
Sending hugs,
Ronna
We got dumped on....
It rained
....then sleeted
......then started snowing about 2pm on Saturday and didn't stop until Early Sunday morning... we got about 17 inches. Its the wet, heavy, packed snow...
It took two rounds of shoveling to get everything cleared so that we could leave the house...
It was out of despiration, because I get cabin fever really easily... I don't have to go, go, go... but I have to be able to, if I wanna... you know what I mean? I really don't like being stuck.
Anyway... Life doesn't stand still for very long around here... we're never really "snowed in". It helps that I live on a school street, so my street is among the first to get plowed. I don't get to play hookey from work because of weather...
Oh well...
I'm praying for spring!
Much Love,
Angela
