Having Faith ... Ultra Sound Results

So, she is a girl, Faith Irene Marie. As far as the ultra sound and the anatomy of the baby goes everything appears to be fine and no symptons of downs appear from the anatomy point - heart good, legs & arms good, noes and ears measure fine! All of the measurements come out to 18weeks 5 days. Putting my estimated due date at 7/11/07. The doc recommended an amniocentisis b/c of the risk for downs associated witht the blood test. For a woman of my ripe old age of 35 the normal risk is 1 in 286. My blood work puts me at 1/11 or a 9% chance there could be a problem. I chose not to have the amnio. I am standing in Faith (no pun intended) that God will see this child through to His perfection, whatever the plan is for her will be. So until, July 11 I am going to enjoy my pregnancy and quit worrying! God Bless! Jen

Jen, Good for you!!! I would do absolutely the same thing. They did the same tests on me and I chose not to have the amnio also, I am glad that I stood firm in my faith in God as you are also!
