What does your nutritionist tell you about how many calories per day you should be having. Now that we are 1 year out I find that I can eat more and once again I am turing to high calorie carbs...I need to get a grip on my calories per day. --Kelly

My nut says 800-1200 cals a day. I stay in that range, but some days I am tellin' ya I could totally go over depending on my evening choices and snacking! Leeanne

I know what you mean. I do real good during the day because I bring all my food to work and don't allow my self any money to buy snacks. But when I get home in the afternoon it could be a free for all some days!!!!

I'm averaging about 1000 per day and my doc says that's spot on.

My surgeon said 900 to 1000 calories everyday. It's hard because I usually only get around 750 or 800. Today was the first day that I came close with 870 during the week. On the weekends when we eat out is the only time I can get close to 1000. I'm trying to figure out how to up them without the high calorie carbs. Like you said, it's so easy to grab them but I know there are better ways. I'll catch on one day Kay

Hi Kelly, My doctor never gave me a calorie amount so I do not count them. The only thing I count is protein. ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Thanks for all the replies. On the subject of carbs...my nut said if we are getting between 1000 - 1200 then our carb count should be between 115 - 140 grams per day. She said sould be about 40% of our daily intake. --Kelly
