Hey everyone. Hope you're trying to stay warm today. It's been freezing here in Delaware...I went to my 1 yr. appt. this morning, then to the gym, then home. I've been indoors ever since! Speaking of my 1 yr. appt...the doctor, dietician, and medical assistant where astonished with my progress! It felt good! My doc said he's the first patient he's seen go down to a normal weight. They were really surprised with my exercise regime and just how much I've started to maintain a normal life as far as food is concerned. My labs were wonderful, my BP was 102/49....102/49....I was on 3 different BP meds at one time!!!! Today, has been great....that's all I can say. Enough of my yip yap...here's what i had today: B- 1/2 LC pancake w/SF syrup, 2 sausage links L- 3/4 c. chili w/salad S- Atkins shake, some Baked Lays and pretzels a little later...I was tryin to stick to just protein for my snack! D- I'm making marinaded steak, baked potato, asparagus tips S- I'm thinking some cottage cheese and strawberries sound good and healthy! Exercise: 40 mins. at BodyCombat...that class is a killer, but fun! Vitamins: need my B12 and calcium Fluids: 92 oz. so far.... April

Congrats on such a good check up April! Way to go. I've had a busy day going to Houston this morning and made it back 5 minutes before I had a meeting at 1:30. I worked until 4:30 and then my son was done w/ practice early and we got to come home. On the menu: b: crustless sausage/cheese quiche s: protein coffee l: 2 oz. roast beef lunch meat s: to go cottage cheese & SF jello d: navy beans and grilled steak s: cottage cheese w/ splenda and true lime vitamins: done liquids: 88 oz. so far, more to go protein: 100+ grams exercise: 30 minutes on bike, arm wt. workout and 100 sit ups Karla 337/179/150

April I am so proud of how you stick to good food. have been bad. I have been eating bad....Not all day just in the evening...Now I feel sick. but I wanted to congratulate you on such a good report from the doctors today. Keep up the good work... ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Chris~ I have a issue with eating at night as well. I do good all day then late at night, I just want to graze on everything. I've realized if I stick to good things, it doesn't effect my weight like it did when I was stalking a box of crackers at night. When I get in the mood, I allow myself to have 1 Tbsp. of PB, SF jello, jerky, yogart or SF popsicles. If it's not on that list, I try to stay away from it. I guess these are issues I'll always have Just wanted you to know, you are so not alone in this. Kay

Thanks Chris! You are certainly not alone. Night time gets me most times too. Lately, I try to have fruit, yogurt, or cucumber slices on hand to snack on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The days it doesn't work consist of crackers, chips and whatever else I shouldn't be having at night! I wouldn't say I've been so "good" with food. It's more like I've been normal with food. I allow myself some goodies....just in moderation. Just because we had this surgery doesn't mean we can't enjoy good food. Some folks think we're supposed to deprive ourselves for the rest of our lives....not here! I eat cake, pies, cookies, fries, fried chicken, rolls.....just within moderation!!! If I eat a goodie one night, I'll work hard at the gymt he next day and skip a goodie the next night. Treating yourself once in a blue makes for a better life....that's my motto! Hey April and everyone! My best friend is moving back to Cali tomorrow so we spent the day shopping and just haning out! I'm sooo gonna miss her! Other than me freezing all day, it's been a decent day! My menu.. B~ Protein shake L~ 1.5 oz steak strips, 5 medium shrimp & 1/4 c. broccoli.. sauteed together S~ "Pure Protein" protein bar D~ Salad (Roast beef, cheese, cucumbers, croutons, few baby carrots & lite ranch) Protein: 91 Vitamins: on track Fluids: 58 oz so far..
